Paint, hit cap, factories, then cities, bust a few forts. Nothing much more or less better when considering time/costs.

Can some one explain how to paint?

Create a Occupation Unit with Jeeps, or create Special forces (its recommended to have around 4 occupation units). With this units you will move them around in hostile territory. Area in which they pass will be painted, and are counted towards to war index.

"how do you take out a fort WITHOUT losing half your airforce? "

Check defence log, might be a remaining interceptor squadron making yer life miserable.

Make sure to first wipe out C3 all air-wings. See scarlet's guide. Also. after doing that, you can manually make sure all air-wings are gone by selecting army-units from list any run em thru. When those are gone, you should only have minimum losses to your air-forces.

Dont use an airforce on forts. The cost of the bombs is exhorbitant. If you must use PB, NiAi has the right idea.

Using airforce on forts is a good idea if you ONLY use it to clear the garrison. If the Q of your bombers is high, then you only lose 2-3 bombers per target avg. But as for attacking the TARGET then use cruise.

But CC is correct, the cost of bombs to attack the TARGET is extremely high.

cruise missiles are great for destroying any target, once the gar is destroyed, but even better, is heavy tanks, and heavy artillery, its the cheapest ammo for destroying targets.

aye, one should always demolish forts with tanks and artillery whenever one can. Bombs and missiles bleed your citizens dry (of cash, and making your enemy bleed dry of blood...)

My strategy:

Buy 1,000 offensive antiaircraft missile batts, 10,000 offensive antiaircraft missiles, 1,000 mid range missile batts, 10,000 mid range missiles, 500 heavy tanks, 300,000 heavy tank ammo, 350 heavy artillery, 200,000 heavy artillery shells, 30 land based cruise missile batteries, 2,000 land based cruise, 20 conventional missile batts, and 200 conventional missiles. Create a battalion with only 1,000 offensive AA batts. Create an LRB with 1,000 mid range missile batts. Create a battalion with 350 heavy artillery and 500 heavy tanks. Now, use the AA battalion to destroy the helicopters first. Expect to lose a couple hundred batteries. After that, you can forget all about the interceptors because they can't do anything about your ground forces. Now, use the mid range missiles to wipe out their supply units and all the garrisons in the capital and all the cities. After that, use the cruise and conventional missiles to kill as many cities as you can. once you run out of missiles, their index should be at about 20 give or take 3 points. Now, just move in with your tanks and artillery and mop up all the rest of their stuff.

There is something wrong with this war system when you have to destroy a C3 country in order to take it. Of what value is a country that you just leveled, literally? I have killed half the C3 off and still have 44pts left to gain. A real re-think has to be done on this.

I think there should definitely be points scored for destroying air defences and ground forces of which currently there is'nt. Its all based on how many people you can kill and how many cities and forts you can destroy and flatten.

should allow for strategic victories in some way, similar to the defeat and surrender of France in WW2.

Conv missiles are a bit overkill I would say. Garrisons will fire back at your ground troops. They also carry defensive missile batteries which will kill your cruise batts and conv msl batts. All in all, I think it is tried and tested that killing interceptors first is the most economical way so you can bomb garrisons and use land forces to kill targets. But hey, more than one way to skin a cat!

This is how I wage war at war level 3....

First I use a total of
800 fighter planes with
16000 air to air missiles and
1200 air attack drones with
only a few attack drone missiles.
At '200 Quality' which should be efficient enough to take out all of it's air defences (including helicopters)

Then Second, bomb some of the capital/cities/factories or forts using....
650 Presison bombers with at least
20000 bombs at 200 Quality
Which should take out 3 types of ground defences there which are....
Defensive Missile batteries
Defensive anti aircraft missile batteries
and Missile interceptor batteries

Then Finally take out the remaining defensive forces there which are....
Defensive amoured vehicles
Defensive jeeps
Light artillery
and light tanks

Using....
1000 Heavy Tanks with 3500000 tank ammo
and 500 anti tank missile batteries with 80000 anti tank missiles at 100 Quality

Then repeat this process until the the country's war index reaches 0, so if you can't defeat a C3 at war level 3, then you're doing something wrong as I use that strategy all the time to defeat my enemies.

I know this may sound expensive, which will be in excess of about 2T to set up all this up, and well worth it for those who like to raid countries often, but by the time you've stripped a country of money and weapons, you've should of made at least 4.5T in cash.

So for the new and inexperienced war players who are unsure about this battle tactic, please message me at 'The Kingdom of Northumbria'

Maestro. why the heck have you started this thread? ah, i see, your doing this to find out what the cheapest way is of taking a c3, cause you heard wl's are good profit... hmmm. Do you have peeps working (or "farmers") that bring in your "crop" for you that are wl 3 or better? just asking.

@Homerdome

Before war levels I used the Tattoo Priest strategy a few times. I passed it along to several new players and they were also successful taking c3's.

Does his strategy still work? Do the numbers need to be tweaked?
