Hey guys,

So I logged on to my FB country called Final Rest. I noticed that that the population has started to decline.

This really surprised me because the population is only 15mil and I have health of 120+

Also, my annual births are still much higher than deaths on the population page.

I cant really understand the cause, any ideas please?

Thanks for having a look.... :)

You could check your newspaper for the last few months. Its possible you suffered an earthquake that killed people and you missed the message.

Your pop shouldnt drop at that level, but I've noticed some of my newer countries are losing pop at about 40M, way smaller than they used to. I guess this is to encourage us to spend extra GC on more pop.

None of it makes sense to me. Some countries show greater expected births than expected deaths, yet the pop numbers still fall. The whole system needs checking or if nothing is incorrect then an explanation of what the figures mean would be good. Death rate, 100% death etc etc, what does it all mean? I asked here before and no one seems to have an answer. GM please can you clarify this area of the game.

You were right Crafty, I was recovering from a Major Earth quake. Just my luck, lol.

I agree with you on the rapid drop off of population growth seeming artificial though.

They should perhaps have a sanitation expenses that you can choose to pay that stops this growth shrinkage, what do you think?

Thanks again for your advice :)

I didn't mean another tax. I meant something like a sanitation corp you could build, or perhaps a special project like an aqueduct.

It would be used only for reducing death rates in countries with larger populations.

It seems to me that there are many large real countries that can at least stabilize their populations to not shrink. Would be nice to be able to do that in game.
