I was wondering, if I start paying and get the right to have both a country and an enterprise, then later stop paying, what will happen to the extra country/enterprise?

Will it simply get deleted?

Also, as a free player, if you conquer another nation will you be allowed to keep your empire indefinitely without paying gold coins for the privilege?

Right, but I'm asking if that also applies for a paying player who abandons his subscription after a while.

Anyhow, a free player can keep a 2-country empire?

I think once your membership runs out you can keep your original country and maybe one other one but the others will start to cancel out over time. I know for sure that if your membership runs out your enterprise will start shutting down. I once got a message that I would lose two corps a day when my membership was about to run out, but I paid again before that happened.

I am new to the game and I hear some people talk about how things got quite and no one is in chat anymore...

I see what craigwilliamson79 just posted and this could be a reason for players leaving, I mean if ur account runs out and U don't have they money that month or whatever U lose a lot of what U just spent all that time building up.
