Has anyone noticed that C3's that were recently Human controlled have offensive bases stuffed with weapons?

Any ideas on how to kill an enemy stack like that with only one offensive unit [i.e. long range division] ?

I am on WG but thought some real warmongers on FB would possibly suggest an idea or two.

I have read the new war engine docs, but am still baffled as to why my LR Division gets beaten continuously like a red headed step child....

Maybe some other vets can give a better advice, but what I did with bases is that I positioned a LRD near to the base (within attacking range) and I bombed the defence with a wing of bomber + attack drone, until the defence is out.

Then I attack the base with LRD.

I think I have done similar, but get my head handed to me.

The base seems to be:-
3000 Tanks
20,000 Missile interceptor batteries [not sure about that number- could be more or less]
2000 Heavy Artillery

I roughed up his air force before the attacks, so I think its just the land forces in the OB that are killing me.

The problem for me is that I get heavy 70-85% casualties in most weapon categories in my LRD without even scratching his paint work.

I must have poured in 4T SC worth of offensive weapons, all bounce.

Can you customise a division's weapon content? I tried but the new division won't fill up correctly, I get nonsense like -6 anti-tank missiles and such.

I ignore any military target in a C3 if Im ground invading.

Kill the air def first. then drive your unit(s) to cities and kill the def first then the target. You can often take a C3 without killing anything other then cities, towns and painting.

If you need to kill the cap save it for last. Its the best defended target in a typical C3 and your losses will be heavier.

I use Heavy art, heavy tank and Mid range missile bats in my units.

I'd love to find some O bases with that level of weapons. Just ignore the military and you should be fine.

Hey now... lets leave my stepdaughter out of this.

Just avoid the military bases. You'll get the weapon after you conquer the country.

Q's for Barney
1/Painting= red areas run over by attacking forces?

2/Air defense= defensive interceptors [in this instance]?

Also I have noticed that Mid range missile batteries seem particularly important, attacking without them with a LRD seems to result in heavier losses. So its not just me... :-)
