Probably because people can't see through all the excessive war deccing.

Seriously, I just got ass raped by a bunch of kiddies with their overloaded allies. They think it witty to send me misspelled messages from my countries that they conquored.

I try diplomacy and leave for a day, and they basically say, 'fuck you, you fucked with a friend or some such' so of course after they take my countries, I swear excessively at them for being rtards.

And if they rule this place, why not let them take over all of FB? I don't get it.

I was hardly warned originally. Please, give a noob a chance here.

I think Eve's more fun anyway. People aren't nearly as stupid over there. And even in that game, people take your shit away from you like there's no tomorrow.

I think andycl and ARYAN should learn not be such bullies. And also at least try games like eve, then they'll learn how to get along.

It's just that not that many people play this game, so fascists (pardon the pun) like ARYAN and andycl are actually allowed to thrive in terms of diplomacy. They own so much shit that ARYAN could actually become rich in real life and have raging sex parties with andycl, it's not even funny. ARYAN has an empire of 21 countries. He nukes and then he acquires. It's far too easy for him.

There really isn't all that much depth in this game. And you know what? Screw the blogs, if I wanted blogs I would've gotten something from freewebs or some other method of bandwidth exploit. Or gasp, maybe even used facebook.

Thanks for proving my basic theory correct. FB has fallen and good people like Dannah and Andy are simply trying to bring the joy back to FB.

What did you do?

Wars are always motivated by some action.

diplomacy isnt like peanut butter, its relating to/relations with others.

When I first started playing there was a really neat post on the three things you need to be sucessfull at this game. The only one I remember, and I remembered it because by myself I wouldnt have thought it to be important. It was Public Relations.

I declared war on a neighbor. This neighbor was not part of a federation or empire.

Instead of his suddenly-emerging-out-of-nowhere friends saying 'please stop', they all declared war on me, nuked my lead to high heaven and stole my two countries.

I've been beaten hard, but not quite to a bloody pulp just yet. I'm trying to get some collateral here.

SolidSamurai, there's always be two sides of a coin. What you claimed to be an abuse of your rights, they call it a freedom of their rights - and vice versa. In FB, anything goes, like declaring wars without any solid reason at all.

Regardless of how they treated you, if you're an adult, learn to accept the adult way - this is just a game.

And to generalize the whole FB as not being a place for diplomacy is an act of fascist on your side - please check your facts right. There has been a lot of diplomacy and fair reasoning amongst the players in FB since time immemorial. Ask the vets like Laguna and Quet and they probably can tell a tale or two.

And as recently, the war between SFOAF and your so-called enemies (The Musketeers) are also heavy with drama, diplomacy, and in the end a truce. (This shall answer the question 'why they didn't just conquer the whole FB': they've tried. :P) So diplomacy is not dead, but maybe, just maybe you don't approach it the right way.

(and who am I again? Owh, a diplomat for a certain fed in FB. I hate people who generalized stuff without checking their facts right).

I've already explained that I originally thought the hostile bidding had stopped. In fact, I specifically made a mental note to stop my own bidding on other people's corps without asking first.

You haven't figured that out. You trashed my countries for absolutely no reason.

You think I'm unpleasant? Well that's life. But this isn't life. This is the internet.

And from just that, I'm getting the impression that you are a timid person that refuses to see simple reasoning.

whoohoo, another new typo of my username, thanks Pretzelcoatl!

@solidsamurai - this message will seem like a case of "tough love", but its dog eat dog out there and you have to deal with it.

I was 1 day out of war protection and a 20 country empire started pounding me with nukes (I still don't know why, to this day). Don't get too attached to your countries, anything that gets knocked down can be built up again and anything you build up will probably get knocked down again at some point.

SolidSamurai, after reading this post, in your own words, it was you that said "I declared war on a neighbor" without reason. You also admit to hostile bidding on other corps, "In fact, I specifically made a mental note to stop my own bidding on other people's corps without asking first".

Being a nOOb is not an excuse to perform asshattery. Not reading this forum before you did these acts was your fault. They responded to your shallow actions accordingly. You do get a chance to learn from your mistakes, advisably on another world.

Don't listen to these guys. This is a game and you're playing on a world where there are no arbitrary restrictions on hostile activities.

Is the reason that you're disappointed because he had a bad reason for attacking you? Would it make you feel better if he attacked you randomly and without cause? That would seem more fair even though it has the same effect, but in the end it doesn't matter.

Good luck in your endeavors and may you rebuild to at least your former glory.

It's like going to a football match. You either buy a ticket in the family stand, where you will be safe (KB, WG, LU or GR) or you buy a ticket in the pen, where your gonna end up in a fight (FB).
