World War On White Giant (White Giant)

War has been declared on WGC.

There was a time when simcountry had lots of wars, and
many players built reputations as warlords, politicians,
and loyal allies. However, these times appear to be disappearing,
and for those of us who like a good war, this is discouraging.

The Mob has never been a "peaceful" federation, but has
used restraint in an attempt to let players grow on its
homeworlds of Fearless Blue and Little Upsilon.

No war of any substance has been fought this calendar
year. No players appear to care about their security
other than fending off wendy's periodic noob raids. This
is truly not the spirit of a healthy game, or a fun one.

This said, the Mob has decided to try to gain a foothold
on White Giant and secure its place as the greatest military
power on that planet. WGC is currently the largest
federation in simcountry, and has vast resources,

Translation: WGC is the only federation on WG that has anything(assets) worth taking.

Translation: WGC has an immense number of poorly defended countries that we can take easily with our gang method of attack. So we will take them.

As I said, we are not attacking any econ or new players (as evidenced by our war declarations).

WGC is the strongest federation in simcountry - hardly a raid.

Wars used to be common.

We have not fought a war in a year (since last summer).

If W3C didn't want wars, they wouldn't make half the products in the game war based.

If we wanted to raid assets, we would, and we could. We do not. We have only fought one group of players in the last year - and they responded by attacking us back. We do not pick on the weak.

We enjoy fighting and the challenge of war. This is the best opportunity to enjoy what simcountry has to offer.

I would advise, next time, to buy WP instead of 12,000 nuclear defense missiles. It will keep your assets a lot safer.

The first time I sort of understood,
the second time...

The spirit of a healthy game is to play as you wish and find others who want to play with you as you wish. Yes wars are part of this game and yes its fair play to take from others things they've bought here. However i don't really want to buy anything else here, at this point in my playing life I think I'll stick to......well playing a secured main and some c3's I guess.

if it means anything aaron, you were considered probably the second biggest threat in WGC. i didn't have anything in the area, so i didn't really pay attention to that part of the planning, but they spent some time considering how to deal with you.

every one on this side of the fence has a great deal of respect for you. as far as i know anyway, i know i do

lol the second biggest threat? With only 1 really decent country? I really wish I had the time to make a proper war, unfortunately I have been working 75-80 hours/week the past few weeks and a proper war just isn't going to happen. Maybe after life settles down, who knows.

Not sure if I remember your name right - it must be getting on two years now, and I can't find the emails. Last word I had from you was that you got the money I sent you, and I never heard from you again. I hope I made it clear that it was a gift, not a loan.

I've often wondered what happened to you, and I've held you in the Light. The way you were talking a couple years ago, I was afraid you might have killed yourself. I'm glad to know you're still alive, friend.

We often do not know the consequences of our actions - it's just a game, but it touches people's lives and we don't always know how.

Yeah Indust Mech, I nuked you but as an econ player you could recover, that is the only threat nukes caused you, your countries were never in any real danger.

I stopped the second time too. Ask around in your fed, for those who certainly don't want to get involved, they have not been attacked. I classified people into groups of direct and indirect support, and those who wouldn't do either of the previous. The first two groups were the 'active players' to be attacked. The only countries I took of active players was Beo and Doctor, who both shadowed my c3s aggressively.

However in that war GREF was primary aggressor, so I let the nukes fly. I've already decided to make the distinction between those who are in GREF, and those who are using minor members for air support. This will probably be my policy moving forward. But I promise nothing.

Hey IndustMech I only attacked one of your countries. With over 100 trill in military assets. Hardly an econ country. The rest was just cover deccs. NO worries and not another shot will be fired. By the way iam not sure what you fed to those ints but they was very effective. I lost alot trying get those guys down.

See, this is why there aren't big wars anymore. People are so used to W3 protecting their assets that they don't know how. And, when a threat does actually appear, they just whinge and whine about it rather than sucking it up and defending themselves.

How many offensive weapons did you find in my countries? The bulk of my military assets are defensive ammo.

What does one plan on doing with 100t military assets? Why buy them if they're for show? Put the money out in loans. Use that money to buy war protection. It disgusts me that people are so ignorant. If you don't have war protection, your stuff ISNT PROTECTED. If you have military assets YOU BECOME A TARGET. What is SO damn hard to figure out about that?

I was buying a lot of defensive missiles and ammo. I was slowly building up my defensive weapons and garrisons. I didn't expect an unprovoked surprise attack.

Better to have too much ammo than not enough. It doesn't cost anything to store it.

Loans are a pain in the ass.
