Tom,

Treasurer asked me to post his email to you because he isn't sure his emails are being received since he was banned. This is his entire email and is not modified.

Quote:

Tom,

I am banned from the forums so I cannot post problems that I am seeing. I have sent you emails and am not sure if they are being deleted or not read. I am writing to ask why everyone has just been stripped of market value in their ceo market values of the corporations? I thought this had already been addressed a month ago? I can not read the forums and keep up with any new announcements you have put out there. I have asked players outside of the game and they said they saw no new announcements.

I have compared the drops to other CEO Enterprises and see 2.4% drops in market value from November 2598 to December 2598 on White Giant. I'm not claiming any type of targeting on me personally because I see the drops across the board on every CEO. I would just like to know what's going on and what are your goals for this move to reduce market values of the corporations.

I need to understand this so that I can prepare for whatever you guys have coming. Do I need to change the way I play is what I am asking? If so, I need to understand what other things are coming so that they do not catch me off guard like this latest drop in market values. The most frustrating part of this game from a player's perspective is the lack of preparation for changes that occur and not having enough foresight to prepare for what your goals are for the game.

We just need some communication from you guys. You did put Johnnie Gill in the forum awhile back but I don't recall seeing any posts from that person (while I had access to the forums) in regards to helping us understand what is being planned for the game. Also I can't remember when the last Jozi Chat was. Those chats really benefitted the players and yourself alike because we got to hear your planned changes and also got to give you feedback not only on those planned changes but also current issues we are dealing with.

I would really appreciate if all of us were afforded the opportunity to get back together and talk about these issues from both the administrator and player perspectives. It garners more idea sharing and lessens the impact of changes that come along. The most important thing is that it usually brings more trust and compassion between you and the players.

Please consider and ask Jozi if he will take the time and have another date scheduled in IRC for a talk with the players. If he is busy, maybe you could Tom. I welcome any communication from you guys.

There is nothing worse than being shut out and ignored. I have found that out the hard way due to my banning from the forums and my repeated attempts to communicate with you through emails. If I am reinstated at some point in the future I will tone down my reactions and general disposition towards the GM's. I do not always take into account the amount of workload you guys have and have lashed out at you guys at times you did not deserve it.

I am extremely passionate about this game though. My firey repoir proves how passionate I am. I do care about your creation and want it to succeed. I do not care only about my own success as you might think. That is not the case. I care about everyone succeeding. I also do not want the game to fail or go away. It has challenged me to use my problem solving abilities and utilized brain cells I thought were innactive. I've also pulled my hair out at times and considerred getting blood pressure medication.

I felt you needed to know that I am human and do acknowledge that I do indeed have character flaws. I will try harder to contain my emotional outbursts. All I ask is that you guys try harder to communicate with all of us or show a willingness to help us adapt to the changes you have planned.

Thank you for your time.

Dan (Treasurer)

P.S. I'm not sure if my emails are getting through any more so I am going to save this and ask a friend to post it in the forum and see if you can email me a response or allow me to read the forums again if you post a response there.

Comon Tom you have proved your point why not let him back on probation as you did with I. We learn from our mistakes.

Tom,
The New Year is rollin in, a good time for a new start. Allow "T" back in. At the end of the day, he's good for the game and good for the players.

You guys have a great New Year and thanks for the game!

Tom, Treasurer has been an invaluable source of knowledge and experience for new players in this game. Without his knowledge some of us wouldnt be were we are today. Please let him come back, if even in a state of probation.

With Regards,
Dragoon

Indeed. And the drops in market value of corps have by now become quite severe.

The market value of my CEO corps looks like it has bottomed. Final tally down 40% - $200T. No $1T+ corps anymore, not even amongst my super profitable weapons corps with all of the foolishness on LU of late.

Please let T back!

He adds value to the game.

He has asked for your forgiveness.

Of course, Tom has been on to see this thread, as evidenced by his recent post concerning forum conduct, but willfully chooses to ignore it.

/me waits for ban

I remember Tom making it very clear that it was Jozi's choice to ban "T" and not his, But yes I agree that they should let "T" back

I have noticed that Treasurer has returned (!) and therefore wish to retract my above comment with apology to the GM.

And even if he hadn't returned, you were still wrong.

No, Willard hasn't seen this thread. Threads such as these never managed to get anyone unbanned. It didn't work for me, it didn't work for Manny, it didn't work Nico, it didn't work Treasurer.

And that may have been Willard's account posting, but it wasn't him. Also, he didn't come to the board to read, but write that post, to let everyone know of the arrangement between the Moderator, Laguna, and W3C, and also to remind everyone there are rules of conduct.

Don't be quick to judge and throw your rocks. You will most likely miss your target.
