We intend to change that [the current] system in the coming weeks. Occupied countries will regain their freedom after 600 months of occupation. The period is equivalent to nearly 7 real months. Rebellions will be limited to extreme cases. In most empires, where the economy of the occupied countries is reasonable, rebellions will be eliminated. The cost of government will decrease in all the countries in the empire.

Total News Network's on JRs thread about chat with Jozi.
It's old, but I can't find anything that says they are not going to/already done it.

I have worked hard to build up my LU empire since joining SC, and according to what you have said nix, that could all be gone when I log in one day.

I just noticed, you have edited your first post nix to add the bit about it being old news. Hopefully it was one of those things that they said they would do, but never did.

Jinson is an old and respected player on SC. I don't think he's on here anymore, but he is still a mod on IRC.....

Let's not start a panic here. This is not happening. You're reading completely out-of-date information. Please post responsibly.

There is some truth to what nix posted though. Older empires that have been around for more than 6 months do indeed begin suffering rebellions within the countries. These rebellions get so bad that valuable corporations get sabotaged, burned and destroyed.
The remedy is to keep a high welfare index. I have to maintain welfare indices of above 100 to ensure against rebellions. A welfare index of 100 is very easy and expected in a well managed country. I have never let the rebellions continue without interferring or revving up my welfare indices. Who knows, perhaps the country would become completely destroyed. They do indeed however still sell rebellion free boosters.

if you cant have welfare over 100 after 6 real life months..... then you arent taking care of that country well at all !!!!

Yes, its the apocalypse again... This is my favourite season of the year.

You only get rebellions when your indexes are low or when you have more than 10 countries. The age of your empire, account or countries isn't a factor.
