I had over 200 corps in my main with the very same similar shortages. I was boycotted and lost more than 50 corps. I had disregarded the shorts becuase I thought it was due to high population dying off after i tried nearly EVERY POSSIBLE SOLUTION to fix this.

Since the boycott, despite losing 50 corps, my shorts have not improved a single bit. And I have tonz of unemployed workers adequate enough to supply all the workers needed for the corps.

Also these workers have been unemployed for about 2 game years as I took 4 real days off during this boycott period.

State corps recently built to replace those lost in the boycott seem to have trouble hiring at 100%

What could this be? And YES I HAVE EVERY PRACTICAL CHANGE to fix it,I have even taken the advice of several players and NOTHING IS WORKING.

Why is that?

I am only posting this for Q, as we were speaking about it, but main chat does not work atm.

Low Level Worker- unemployed 3,437,974 needed for %100 108,553

Medium Level Worker- 236,806 / 84,696

Nurse- 403,769 / 0

Doctor- 99,78 / 0

Senior Doctor- 48,849 / 0

Low Level Manager- 60,998 / 17,860

I'm not sure. However, your total unemployed workers is dropping fast and your employed workers number is growing fast. There might be a limit on the movement of workers each month. Between march and November you added 2.6 million employed workers.

I can't tell you myself Wendy but I feel your pain. I'm at my wits end with this game over worker shortages. Every one of my countries is short of this, that, and the other. Even when they have enough, I still am showing up as needing X amount of this to fulfill my 100% Production. I feel we should be able to set just how many workers we want of LLW, MLW, and HLW's. HLW's conversion rate is to low and ends up making the worker situations so much worse.

Wow now that is definitely odd. Nothing is even remotely short.

Are the numbers decreasing with time? It does take time for corproations to regain 100% hiring (15% per month). Though you mentioned 2 game years, so I doubt this is the problem either.

I'm at a loss to explain it, Wendy. Boycott you said was over, so that isn't the issue anymore.

Your lowest ratios are MLW and LLM, maybe bumping those up a bit would help?

Check to make sure there are not some corps hiring on auto (especially by other CEO's), there was someone in chat yesterday complaining about a CEO who had ALL of his corps that way. This could be causing the problem too.

If you could post more up to date numbers, I might be able to pinpoint the problem easier for you, or maybe someone else can.

I've told you a few times it's due to your salaries not being equal. In the corporations in your countries that are not at 100% hiring you appear to be paying lower salaries than the ones at full hiring. Make sure all salaries are set the same, govt and corporation.

I am tempted to suggest it is just game karma.

Salaries shouldn't be an issue if she has enough workers in all areas (which she appears to from what she pasted here).

My countries have salaries all over the place (from 100 to over 1000) and don't have the problem she is having.

Dub I changed them several times. . . up down and every other way. You told me try salaries thing awhile aGO, when i raised Govt salaries to match corp salaries. . . . it got alot worse.

Thx for trying though.
Q those numbers are accurate as of last night. The problem was b4 and after the boycott.

I have tried buying pop ONLY to find that this doesn't help at all but only makes it worse as well.

Check to make sure no corporations (especially other CEO's) are on auto hiring or lower hiring. That's the only other thing I can think of. You should be able to pinpoint which corps are not at 100% hiring by looking at the corporation list, then maybe you can figure out why they aren't. From your list above, it could be anywhere from about 2 to 8 corps that are the problem.

Salaries are an issue if their is a great disparity. The workers in the low wage corps are always looking to improve themselves and move into higher paying corps when a vacancy allows, so you get a kind of "float" - people in transition in the low wage corps.

From the documentation:
"A corporation that pays its workers at a lower level than other corporations in the same country may see its workers quitting their jobs. These workers will move to other corporations for better salaries. This process is limited to 10% of the workers in any corporation per game month"

If you have full employment available in all professions, then that doesn't apply, aleksander. Only if there is shortages. And even then, it doesn't quite work that way in practice.

eh. considering how many corps involved I am assuming that you need helluva lot more hlw and mlw than that.

grossly severe shortage of hlw/mlw could force all those companies to work at low hiring thus cause those workers to be unemployed.

dunno. just throwing that out there. worth a shot

The first number is unemployed and the second is needed for 100% hiring

Where again did you see a shortage?

Q,I appreciate all of your help on the forums, but you sometimes speak with more confidence than you perhaps should.

All through my empire there are CEO corps that are not at full employment, even though I have the workers available. The one thing that they have in common is low salaries.
