I have 3M LLW waiting to be educated, and in the meantime can't get my HLW shorts under 200K, because they keep getting educated too fast.

I have lowered my education priorities to under a total of 120 to see if it would fix it. No.

I have destroyed educational facilities. No.

And besides, shouldn't it be easier to train up LLW into other worker types than turning mere workers into fully educated professionals?

This is retarded, that I have more than enough workers and professionals everywhere except for HLW - and even converting 50K back to HLW three or four times a day (LU) doesn't seem to help.

I'm fucking frustrated.

I've managed to keep my profits pretty steady even after the most recent changes, but just because I didn't log in between classes every four hours to convert workers, my profits fell 100B? No, I shouldn't have to babysit my account all day long.

Fucking fix your game. You know what the problem is, Tom, you stated it in another thread: HLW are being turned into professionals too quickly in highly educated countries.

Well, then remove the stupid 50K per month cap like SO MANY have asked, or do a REAL tweak to the education system that will FIX SOMETHING.

I've conversed with you and the W3 engineers, etc, via email and on the forums several times before, and I'm normally calm and understanding, but I think I've reached the end of my tether here.

You're nerfing profits for no real good reason, adding more costs in the form of new ammo usage and ammo quality dilapidation; you're reducing our liquidity; you're closing the economy into a near zero-sum system; and on top of it I can't even manage to keep my economy fully staffed even though I have the workforce sitting around to do it, but the algorithm in place for education is screwing it up!

Yes I agree with you Petra Arkanian of Little Upsilon why should full members who have paid their real world cash have to be shafted by so many messed up ideas. I honestly believe that to much greed is driving this game from being the best of all simulation games, the number mmog right into the gutter. I am so upset that they are trying to delete one of the best features of simcountry - wealth accumulation. Even if the sim country cash is all pretend, it was the wealth accumulation that first motivated me to make my paypal payment and become a full member. All of these problems are causing to much pain but the lack of simcountry cash and the desire of the Gamemaster to further reduce cash is pushing me towards looking elsewhere to spend my entertainment dollars. I want more simcountry cash. Gold coins are ok but I am like most people. We want cold hard
simcountry cash!

Maybe we should organize a boycott in real world terms i.e. no more real world U.S. dollars till the game is worth playing again.
Boycotts: new boycott request> Presidents and CEOS can setup a list of online games they want to boycott. A boycott will take place if enough president are asking for it. You can enter into a boycott by expressing your desire to stop funding the online game. The requests to start a boycott can be enacted when you decide to not pay any more realworld dollars to the online game.

If there are enough Presidents and CEO requesting and enacting the boycott the game will either have to respond with more favorable conditions to encourge the Presidents and CEOs to end the boycott or the game will start to lose all its income. If the game loses it income the cash levels in the game will begin to be reduced and the game will either have to take out huge loans or go out of business. Even if the game takes out massive loans if they do not take measure to end the boycott they will go bankrupt.
I did not yet request a boycott of a any online game.

But for now
I Push my fingers into my eyes...
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache...
But it's made of all the things I have to take...
Jesus, it never ends, it works it's way inside...
If the pain goes on...
Aaaaaaaah!

If the pain goes on,
I'm not gonna make it!

To illustrate the point. Last month, I transferred 330k HLW into my country, plus i converted 50K.

I had what has become the classic 24K HLW. This should have given me 404K HLW unemployed. I needed 270K-ish.... however, this month, it's showing 135,865 unemployed 176,601 needed for 100%.

WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO THE OTHER 270K I TRANSFERRED AND WHY DID THE NUMBER NEEDED ONLY GO DOWN 100K?!

Jesus Fucking Christ on the Cross, W3C, you need to fix some shit.

That happens to me alot too petra. I just don't understand it anymore. Why do HLW CONSTANTLY change into LLW when LLW aren't even needed?

Ha, and to add some icing on the cake, I had 3300 HT Engineers just disappear too. I haven't built and corps, and they're all upgraded, so why has my HTE graph nose-dived from over 3000 unemployed to only having 80 and NEEDING 3100? Eh? EH?!

6 game months ago I had around 4000, 9 Game months ago I had 5000, 12 game months ago I had over 6700, and at the start of the graph it shows I had 8300, but the entire graph is a steep decline marked by two or three months level then a steep drop.

I know a few days ago I had over 10k in reserves.

EDIT: Double HA! THe same phenomenon happened with my HLM, where 30k dropped off the map in the past month and now I need 21K, only have 9k unemployed.

EDIT2: And before you even think it, Tom, I know that having shortages in one area affects all areas, but in all other professionals I had more unemployed than needed for 100%, and if you overlap my graphs you can see that as well. I just double checked to make sure that my "reserves" weren't just an effect of the shortages. They weren't. There was more than enough professionals in all areas to manage 100% hiring once the HLW short was met.

Trying to explain the RANDOM worker shortages is pointless.

it would seem that as many of the top players in the game coming down on this issue that we could get some action on it. however, my guess is that they don't know how to fix it or if they know, it would take to much time and would end up screwing up other parts of the game that would create more fundamental problems. it's much easier for them to add on features that most of us don't need or want, than to fix these systemic problems. as for this education problem, it's not so serious that the game doesn't work, but it certainly keeps us checking out and tweeking our countries professionals.

Maybe I'm the Oddball here, but then Again I just started playing about a week ago. Anyway, I haven't encountered many worker shortages, in fact, my Unemployment rate is at 8%, which I hear isn't that bad in this game. Anyway, what sounds to me is the problem is that your education indexes are too high. Try lowering them.

Weren't HLWs created "on demand" in past? meaning if there was shortage, they were taken out of LLW/MLW pool automatically? Worked ok as far as I remember.

anyways

I disagree, just in case I'd be taken seriously, instead of being ignored, and since I'm always wrong ..

Preach it brother Petra. I'm so fed up with this game lately. It's not the fact that things are changing (things change, that's life), it's not the fact that it's more difficult ( hard is fine), it's that you've created this epic void in my gaming that I have no control over. No matter what I do, there's nothing I can do to turn this around, short of deleting and starting over. And why in hell should I give you MORE money now?

Unless something drastically changes, I'll just be riding out the remainder of my coins in sub time, and moving on. It's a shame, because this is a very interesting game design.

It's funny that I was just complaining to myself as I logged on this morning that I don't have time to log on 3 or 4 times every day to convert workers. I am tired of nearly every country having HLW shortages no matter what I do. I have 1 country that has a small surplus but I am worried if I transfer those, it will one day be short as well. I know employment will always require some tweaking on the part of the president to keep all corps fully staffed, but this is craziness. If I had 1 country, I suppose I could log in for a couple of minutes several times most days to do this. But I have a large empire, as do many people on here. If I spend 5 minutes in each country, I have eaten an hour of my day. I am supposed to do this 3 or 4 times a day? Yeah. I have a RL too folks. I can't lower my EI or I start having more civil unrest and damage. I have one country that has consistently been at least 250K HLW short and has been as high as 500K short even if I feed C3's to it, convert max workers, everything.
Please help! I saw one poll a long time ago that suggested that conversions "add up" every game month so I could log in once a day and convert 6 mo's worth. That would help at least.
Sorry for my long rambling post, but this topic hit right on what I was feeling this morning. (I do think it is best if we keep our posts polite, even in our frustrations, though I understand than desire to curse out loud. :))
Zen.

Please fix the MLW/HLW issue, its getting worse every day.

Not to mention, High Tech Executives need to be trained at a HIGHER rate. Most corporations use MORE of these than regular executives! But they are trained half as fast?

I have had to put CEO corp requests on hold until this issue is addressed.

Something is clearly not right and the issue needs addressing ASAP.

I'm in 100% agreement with Petra on this. I used to enjoy logging into this game to see how my countries were doing. Now, I'm to the point of giving up. As I stated in other threads, these issues are game ruining. Why would any new player want to spend their $$$ on this game when these sorts of things are going on? Like Kiteless, I'm now locking all my countries down until this issue is resolved.

We can't forget today's latest change...increased workers for many corporations! Which at least for me, has made the worker problem that much worse.
