Ok, just logged into Britor FTZ today and I went from having about $35T yesterday to -$129T today. What's going on here? I know I didn't have any debt, hell none of my countries has had any debt for as long as I can remember. Britor shouldn't be this massively in debt. John R? Tom? Anyone?

Come to think of it, Britor did transfer $3T to Mindao in the past few days. One lingering question I have now is, am I going to be held responsible for this debt?

@ Quaxocal - Yea, but I LIKE that BUG! It's the first time in forever that I logged in and saw HLW's in record numbers. Kinda sucks too as I just decided to increase my hospitals to 3100. If I lose this excess pop, I hope Tom will be kind enough to give me back the 15GC I spent to get pop in the first place.

I'm hoping that we won't get shafted and lose the country due to this. That would simply be unacceptable. I'm not going to even waste my time trying to correct the issue as there is no way I can.

In the past with, granted much smaller, glitches W3C has always been good with compensating for damages. So I don't think there's any reason to panic at this point.

I'll panic when I see my pop go from 132m down to 117m and my worker shortages shoot through the roof. My fear with Britor is that the fix may not come soon enough and I may end up losing the country due to it being forced closed.

SEE!? SEE!?

If the game was on Zimbabwean Dollars, everyone would have enormous cash reserves and no one would miss 136T of cash disappearing.

PS: A loaf of bread costs 136T in Zimbabwe.
PPS: That money better show up on my countries.

1st off...I'm an idiot! Thought it was my lucky day...a good bug gave me 60T...thought I would get penalized with the newly instituted financial services fee, so after waiting 2 months I spent about half of it and then next time I check I am -66T in debt.! Cr@ptacular...going to drop me to level -1 and take a week and all my GC's to dig myself out of this one.

It's like dangling a fresh carrot in front of a hungry rabbit!!! Moral...there is no such thing as your lucky day in SimCountry.

If I lose my country I'm going to quit this game!

Kinda fun to watch really. But definitely a total time waster.

LG says W3C should be resetting the servers to some point in time yesterday before all this crap started. They keep daily backups, so no one is going to lose their country over this.

Then my CEO...seriously...it takes me like 20 minutes to go through 350 corps and tweak all my trade strategies...market has been really fluxing lately.

Maybe i'm off topic, but just odd to me.

Rebels attack factory in Queen of Battle
The population in Queen of Battle has attacked Colorado Vacation vacation operator in protest of excessive education costs. There were 3625 casualties and 5688 people were wounded. Colorado Vacation is very severely damaged. The factory Colorado Vacation will be closed down. Infrastructure in the direct neighbourhood was ruined causing important damage to the country.

Maybe this is just me but gimme a break, this is a cruel way to lose assets. Punishment for a high education???

The netcash position of "Utopia" is -210T SC$.

On looking at the country again, I noticed that there was actually 274T in cash - enough to pay of the loans which I did immediatley. Because of this, I have lost 3.14T for paying them back early, and altogether I estimate that I have lost around 27T because of this bug. If the issue is now fixed, can I get my money back please? 27T is the best part of 60GC at GM prices, so its not really a small amount.

Also, could you let us know if it is once again safe to use the cash market please?

Thanks.

Oh... You want to know what to do? That's easy: nothing.

In situations such has these, the only thing to be done is to warn the GM and supply him the required details. He has already been warned, so we now wait. When he does move to fix things, we just need to make sure nothing is missed.

From Game news;

February 18, 2009
Simcountry - Cash market problem
In the past 24 hours we had a major problem on the cash market. We think that more than 100 countries and enterprises are affected.

Transactions with gold coins and some transactions with population transfers were executed many times. The number of gold coins was not affected at all.

This caused major problems in countries that have recently made a cash market transaction.

We have now made corrections to reverse these errors.

All countries that have received huge amounts of cash will see cash levels return to the previous levels. All these countries have received a 5 Trillion bonus.

All countries that had a lot of cash subtracted, received all their cash back and they received an extra cash bonus of 5 Trillion to cover for any extra cost they may have incurred.

Some countries received large loans to cover for the cash that was transferred. These loans will be paid up automatically in the first simulation run that is being started right now.

Some countries have seen large population transfers in or out of the country. This depends on the cash market transaction. If they received population, they may have received it many times. If they have transferred population out, this too may have happened many times.

We have now corrected all population numbers and each affected country received an extra population bonus of 2.000.000.

The population in six countries have not been corrected yet and this will take place in the coming hour or so. There may be some problems with the numbers of workers or professionals in a small number of countries. We will make the necessary corrections in the coming hours.

It is possible that some countries population will not be compensated to the full or that you may have any questions whether you were compensated for the problem we have caused.

If your country was not corrected, we request you to mail us with the problem:

Mail us the account mail address and the name of the country where the problem is. Explain what the problem is. We will immediately take all needed measures to fix whatever is wrong. We know what the situation was before this happened and we can fix it.

We think that the measures we have taken will compensate any country that was affected by this error but we invite anyone who thinks that we have caused a problem and did not compensate her/him correctly to explain and we will swiftly solve the problem and compensate for any damage to any country.

We are very sorry that this happened.

The problem is a result of a change in the cash market that was intended to add some messages that will explain in better way what happens when a cash market transaction does not take place and gives the play the reason.

This change has unfortunately cased this error.

The problem happened yesterday during the last game update and many cash market transactions that took place after this change have gone wrong.

Just checked into SC again and lengthy post from GM is up. Financial statement details in my countries appear to be correct.

I also received a personal email from GM in response to my earlier email regarding the bug. It may have been an auto response to the problem, but it was very welcome and quite appreciated.

GM takes a lot of hits in this forum -- some fair, some not -- but I for one appreciate the response.

Wow...how is this for one...Loans are too high

The current debt is 528.66T SC$.

You cannot order products or build new corporations.
This can be solved:

1. You can try and sell a property you have - example: a corporation,
2. You can exchange a gold coin for cash and pay back some loans.

Make sure you generate more income and reduce cost.

I have not built any new corps.
