I know I'm responding to spam but hezy sparked me off on a thought, I'll challenge the traditional (indoctrinated) view of these fictional characters.
This god character seams to be a hardcore fascist, even after all this Jesus bs he isn't any better he just has a better PR team. This character would make Hitler gaze in aue (wait a minute maybe he was chosen by god).
This Satan character just seams to think that humans should make their own choices and they only follow gods code because he wields his power like an iron fist (sounds kind of similar huh?) and engage in all forms of cardinal pleasure (HOLY SHIT thats sounds like freedom RUN).
Morals are simply a biological behavioral tradition that helps ensure the survival of a selected species, or adleast prevents the self extinction of a selected species. 'Good' and 'evil' doesn't apply to them, because all human evil really is: selected actions, behaviors, ideals etc that is in opposition of a subjective minds ideal view of the world.
So the satan v god bible thumping view isn't really about 'good' or 'evil' or morals, its about order v freedom. |

Oh right you mean the 40 days of flood that would extinct every single species of plant life, and prevent any re cultivation of plants for a long time. Now I'm no creationist with their fancy primary school education, but isn't there something called a food chain?

totally off the subject... because i hate religious debates... but here's an interesting tid bit
reguarding the tower of babel story...
because of the internet, mankind has not had the sample level of communication, since the tower of babel...
just something to ponder, reguardless of how you feel about the the bible, i'm not trying to start an argument, its just something to think about... |

Order vs freedom -- some truth to that. Order vs freedom is not the same as good vs evil. Nor the same as evil vs good. The dynamics are more complicated. For example, order that requires one to give up some freedom is necessary so as to secure freedom. Also, a system of many people morally making free choices can produce great order. |
