Why is it that every time I conquer a country it immediately suffers an earthquake? Its not just me either, other players say it too. Maybe it happens to you.

Why not just come out with it and say "you will be taxed 1% of your population for winning this war", and similar for other earthquake induced costs?

Its not really significant, losing an extra few thousand population, after you've bashed the living daylights out of the country already, its the underhand way in which its done, another example of poor GM/player relations maybe...

I am in no way defending the GM's. I am sick of their bullshit as well.

However if it's when you conquer an inactive country that this happens? It's because while a country is inactive it can still have an earthquake, and as soon as said country is logged into it will be unleashed.

I was inactive for for over a month a while back. When I logged in for the first time, I had earthquakes in all but 1 of my 10 countries, and my empire is spread out on different continents.

So if anything. I would call it an inactivity tax, but it stinks just the same.

Thank would ring true MoP.

Not a very clever bit of programming though.

Thanks, CraftyCockney.

Also if your neighbor has an earth quake or gets nuked the effects don't reach your country until you log in.

By delaying the effect it guarantees you have time to gather disaster relief. You don't have to lose the population. Max relief packages can make all refugees return home.

Man of Peace...I do believe your right...I noticed that myself...I took an inactive empire down about a month ago and 3 out of 6 countries had an earthquake as soon as I logged into them.

I also experienced this recently. It was on an inactive player as well.

The fix is in?
