Beginners boost (Golden Rainbow)

Good day everyone, I am of course still a super nub. But was wondering when the beginners boost stoped, or is there anyway I can stop it? I think this is hurtful rather than helpful. I want to start working on my defense for a bit, and want to be sure of all my income before i start down that road.
