Hello SimCountry presidents.

I am going to address some issues regarding the cash market and direct trading.

I have noticed, the value of the Gold coin drop significantly in the time that has elapsed since the Direct Trading Feature was introduced.

The value of Gold Coins are at an all time low. The Idea or purpose behind the Direct Trading Feature was to take simcash out of countries and add value to the cash. I guess this has happened. I see that for the highest paying offer of Gold Coins to cash, the most I can recieve is 12T for 30 COINS?????????? What in the heck is that. In a way you can say that the feature worked as intended. What I don't understand is how I have to believe that the value of the cash is now up MORE THAN %30. This seriously not true.

There were times preceeding the Direct Trading Era when Presidents willingly traded up to 20Trillion Dollars for 20 Gold Coins(12T for 20 was the standard from pvp transactions, which is why I say that GC have depreciated by MORE than %30!! You could just as easily trade 20 gc for much more as previously stated!!!!).At first W3 got in on this and directly offered their own Coins. It quickly Disolved into less and less offers until the Direct option was introduced. I have to arguethat the process, and its results have been two fold. And pretty much a double negative.

In order for me to purchase game cash, I have to give in to highway robbery. 30gc for 12T, COMON. That is crazy. Also, in order to purchase Gold Coins with Cash, I have to purchase them two at a time. Why the clicking. If you need game cash to be turned to Gold Coins, 2 coins per transaction is enough to deter me from even trying.

Should we address how this has affected the the Cash, and Gold coin? The correlation between the rise/fall of value of gold coin/game cash is nonexistant. Gold Coins are in abundance as evidenced from the direct trading menu. But Cash is decreasing, obviously from the rediculous amounts of cash offered for each Gold coin. Am I the only one who sees this? Or Cares? Basically, oour Gold Coins are worth nothing. I wouldn't really care if I could make more money in game which would offset the difference. But this is near impossible and has changed since then as well. My main country is almost completely impossible to build to my older main countries profit levels. Before the corps profits/direct trading was introduced, I had a main country that made upwards of 400B profit a month. #3 finance. All that with an outrageous govt cost tab. Now my main makes around 200 - 300B a month and has a larger proportion of private corps than my older one. The former main had about %65+ state corps. This new one has almost %80 private corps, and isn't getting close, with a small by comparison Govt Cost at 35B. (The older was consisntantly above 65 -80B per month!)

This is something we all need to address and do something about. I am of the opinion I pay real money for GC. I make simcahs playing. Which should be of more Value? And Better Yet, Importance?

What do You think?
