I found out and can prove that not all country runs the same war engine on LU and it is quite disturbing as one is much much more effective than the other and i hope my country runs the best one.

Is this an ongoing process and everyone will be moved to the same one soon or it's a bug ? Without going into too much details, it concerns assisting of air unit by ground forces.

If any one has insights let me know

Maybe you should provide your evidence or give examples, I have run into a similar problem, and the explanation was not satisfactory imo. What have you experienced?

The Kingdom of Xantopia (LU)

Sadly you cannot read the reports as the time went by but.

This country required me to have ground unit near the target to take out -->> Ground target aka factories etc...

I pillaged over 150 C3 on LU and very few required that.

Note that i know that you need ground unit near a ground target to take out air force in all country. as far as i know all country have that feature. But a very few have the same features while attacking town and factories with air units.
Basicly my forces we're 4 times weakers if it was not assisted by ground unit.

Hope my clarification helps sorry my bad English.

This was mentioned in the game news a couple of times. Basically, whenever you're attacking a country adjacent to a country you control, you need to have "ground support" i.e. ground units near any targets you're wishing to attack with air units, or else your air units are significantly weaker (4x weaker). If you're not attacking an adjacent country, then this doesn't apply. Therefore, if you want to attack a C3 (the most common reason I do so is for population transfers), don't attack an adjacent one.

Anyone got any experience and comment on the assistance a federated ground unit (a fed members unit attacking the same country) or even another country you control unit gives to your airforce? Have you experienced that it is the same as a unit from the same country as the attacking airforce, or maybe it isn't?
Thanks in advance. Crafty.

Ah Daelin , Thank you that makes a lot of sens.

And CraftyC im 96% sure that i did not receive ground support from my own Empire, more than once.
(To take out a C3 air-Force while i was using navy with Empire ground unit near)

Thanks for your answer again

Yes, there is no ground support, especially from a 'federated ground unit. It has to be a unit from the same country, and usually only works for offensive wings themselves. Navy really didn't matter.

I also think if you have a c3 next to a country, but attack from a separate one, you need ground support from the attacking country if you are using AF wings. I guess that is the same thing I just said, no federated ground support.

Thanks Wendy.
It would seem to me that same empire or allied forces are just as capable of providing ground support as the attacking airforce countrys' units. Surely this is how it works real life.
I will be starting a poll for this if neccessary after asking the GM their version of how it works.

If anyone else has an opinion please say now before I make a tit of myself (again :O). Thanks.
