Just read the update. Sounds good to me

One question:

How do you handicap LU world in space trade? They are running at a faster speed.

Do you adjust the exchange rate for products sold by LU corporations?

Or do you make the trip to the space station take longer?

Or something else...

LU corporations can sell on other worlds...flood those markets.

selling 1 computer 0.01 gold coin. 100 for 1 gc ..

looks to me that only product that are worth 460B/100 will sell on that market.

So not much.

We'll know more once it's implemented. Assuming that the more uncostly products not worth 4.6B are able to be lumped together, then it could be quite interesting.

After all, 5,000,000 of oil at 532 SC$ worth a total of 2,660,000,000, Not quite .01 but I'm not going to fuss through the math to get something worth .01GC, but for argument, assuming I could offer a lot of 5M oil for .01GC it might not be so bad.

Why did they chose to value space sales in GC? Wouldn't it be easier if they kept it the same using SC?

not all worlds were supposed to have the same value sc dollars.

The old cash exchange system used to classify moneys in game cash according to each world. Maybe they still expect the value of money to be different on each world in the future. Although it hasn't happened yet.

My gut says there will be many players over/under paying for goods with space trade in GC.

For me it's ok cause I will take the time to do the math. And I'm sure many veterans will do the math as well.

But for the newbies and some vets this could very well be like sheep led to a slaughterhouse.

I'm just glad to move my surplus goods from one world to the next without having to buy a crapload.

Here is a fun example:

1)Buy FMU's on one world for 1.47M
2) Blast off (Pay a space fee)
3) Sell them on another world for 3.1M

(I'm skipping the GC converted value in the example above)

I can only agree with Space Trading with one of two conditions: space trading represents a minimal percentage of each world's trade; or the differences in time between the different worlds are even off.

Also, along with the introduction of rent and transportation to allow each world's currency to fluctuate once again would be interesting.

"Currency fluctuate"

That sounds interesting...I like it!
