Was there ever a time in the history of SimCountry where there was a real need to have five different game worlds? Like, that many players. I get that you'd want a separate world for war (FB) but why four econ-focused worlds? I've only been around since late 2008 so I'm curious.

Also, second question: do you think the game would be better off if there were fewer worlds, or maybe even just one world? Since you can buy WP, is there really a need for war players to be corralled off into their own world?

Really I'm just asking out of idle curiosity, not (necessarily :) ) suggesting that we smush them all together.

No, there needn't be less worlds. If they were all 6 months per game day I suspect they would all increase membership.

Well, LU does tend to be the most popular for its faster timescale, but even on LU there's lots of room open...

I'm not sure if there's any way of comparing this, but I'd like to wager that GR's previous wars could compete in scale with FB's previous wars.

FB isn't necessarily corralling anyone.
