Again 100k high tech engineers just vanished and all my country corps on 90% hiring, without doing anything, and having the highest education priority for high tech engineers.

Didn't built anything, no new corps or country improvements.

So why is that ?

You may find the explanation in the game news.

certain corps will now use more workers.

So if you had a nice balanced workforce, you may have shortages in everything now...

These are indeed results of the increase.
100.000 seems a little high...

we are reducing the number of HLW and HTE in highly upgraded corporations to reduce the effect.

Also upgrading used to create shortages of professionals and no one understood where they came from.

we are trying to reduce that effect.

if you have many corporations, choose one that is producing into an oversupply in the product and close it.

corporation values are going up and will compensate for a closed corporation.

So far all the changes have increased workers (decreasing the number of unemployed) and therefore increased costs, causing massive worker shortages and reduced income especially in the more well-developed, larger population countries.

Going for level 14, I had over 94% employment which left me a bare minimum of spare unemployed workers. I am now suffering a need for an additional 130,000 HT Engineers and 220,000 LLWs in my largest country, which is full of high-value, fully upgraded corps :(. The rest aren't far behind.

Tom, I understand from the game news that this will be balanced with higher corp profits (allowing us to reduce the number of corps in a country) and lower staffing requirements for weapons.

Are you able to reassure us that the next phase of the changes will increase income and reduce the need for workers, rather than add to the current problems? And that this next phase will be implemented soon?

Hugs and respect

Jo

PS: Thanks for warning us in advance this time.

Ah, close corporations that I took the time and effort to fully upgrade. Thanks for the advice. One per country...10 fully upgraded "corpses" gone. And the three days notice was so generous...

It would be nice if the gamemaster could offer worker trades on the direct market.

Ex.

HLW's for LLW's
HTE's for LLW's
...and so on

This new update is causing much headaches for too many players.

How about the gamemaster add worker purchase that we can deposit in our direct account for later use.

Example

Pay one coin and receive 100,000 HTE's. The workers are deposited into the direct account. The player can later transfer these workers to any of their countries.

yea, they can be in cryofreeze, freeze or something... or even cyborgs waiting to be reactivated...

actually i like the idea, having a shortage for workers like for money, i might have say 100k extra mlm in a country, put them in cryofreeze, in my direct account... so many possiblities.

Yeah, that would be great...so many c3's have to be raped right now to fix all these worker issues, I'd prefer to spend a few GC than to waste my time stripping c3's for workers.

The changes will be slow but they will continue because we want to have larger corporations for the reasons mentioned before.

Game money has increased in value. and corporations are also increasing in value.

The measure for stability is more nominal value than absolute amounts of game money.

The nominal value will depend on some base country value, and the value of assets. (corporations and military assets).

Selling of population causes disasters in countries, we do not see population as an asset you can sell and will eliminate it from the base value.

Also the "profit capability" seems to be confusing and will be removed from the nominal value.

The value of corporations has the profit capacity already accounted for as the market value of corporations depends on their profitability.

Yet again you're getting screwed by W3's poorly thought out schemes, a pattern of behaviour which hasn't changed in years.

What's really amusing is that most of you are surprised by this.

Probably because there is no viable alternative wendy, but in short time there will be an alternative. Then he can leave freely and dust off the residue from his shoes.
