Jozi Chat, 19th of September

As it was decided on the previous meeting, the third Jozi Chat of 2010 is scheduled on the 19th of September, a sunday, at 14:00/2PM UTC on TNN.

Jozi is the owner of Simcountry. He participates in these sessions to receive and comment on player input. So, if you would like to discuss and offer suggestions or report bugs in real time, this is the time to do so.

This meeting will take place at:
- New York: 10AM
- Los Angeles: 7AM
- London: 3PM
- Amsterdam: 4PM


This chat will happen on a IRC server and, as such, you will need an IRC client in order to be present. One of the clients you may use is mIRC or ChatZilla.

Once you have one of the client set-up, in the lower bar, type:
1. /server simnews.mine.nu
2. /join #jozichat

I can never make it to these. I would like to ask for somebody to explain why the 2nd Federation Air Wing Response is such a monumentally bad idea. There are many changes and errors that I'll work around, but I'm not sure that I'd like to work around this.

If the wargame dies, this game dies. I can eliminate the joy of the economic game by literally telling everyone everything they need to know. There is no competition in the economic game. "OMG, I made 5B more this month than you!"

I've already learned and mastered, if not implemented, everything the econ game has to offer. I could teach almost every principle to someone within 24 hours. The only reason self-professed econ-only players have any challenge is because they're too dull-witted to accomplish anything. Heck, I'm using a sub-standard economic strategy: I'm only following the Church of Simcountry strategy for goodness sake... heavily invested in

I strongly disagree, Air defense is so meaningless, especially if you are attacked by more than one opponent. I took down EO's fedded air defense by myself, and I am only one person. If two or more attack air defense it falls too easy. It is very expensive to buy all those interceptors and ammo just to see a few people take it down in no time. Besides someone did the math and found it will just cost a little more but yeah, it should.

Border C, I would like to earn the title of "Biggest Ego in SC." As a rule, I can't get over myself: there's too much competition.

W - Taking down air d while the other player is busy with school and is therefore not shooting back is not impressive, not to mention it took you 10 25 mil pop countries and 24 hours without being shot at to do so and that's against 1 country. PLUS, and that's a BIG plus, that was against 2 air wing defense, not 3, big difference.

BC - You may not enjoy Scarlet's tone, but he's right. Econ is pretty damn simple and it isn't as if there is some kind of intense competition for the #1 FI rank that draws people in, I held #1 and #3 at the same time on LU for quite a while and you know who cared? No one, it was just funny to see the ultra warlord with the #1 FI rank. You know what my awesome strategy was? Build good corps and IPO them...and then...no wait, that was it. Wendy used 5 countries, and you always make an excuse when someone does something to you or your friends. If you have school or work, you shouldn't be running around talking crap about being the best, than using school or work as an excuse. When you surprised WGC you wanted to get some credit for that, but none of them were prepared. As much as you and your bunch run your mouths you should be ready at all times and prepared to fight as everyone else has to be ready for you. Excuses won't cut it after you guys have done what you've done. Wendy didn't shoot for 24 hours, although the war did last more than 24 hours. I watched it and she did well. She took down a sick amount of interceptors. Whiteboy, I used to have a lot of respect for you guys but you wear it out with that kind of attitude.

Nobody is making excuses Mr Tang. WB only mentioned that as a 'reason' she was able to take those air wings down. And don't forget, the WI never got below 84, I think, maybe 87. Either way, no real damage was done.

And you are 100% correct in saying that school or work isn't an excuse to NOT attack. There is a provision made for circumstances like that, called WP, which is no doubt one reason WB has it.

Also Wendy dec'd with way more than 5 countries, maybe not 10, but that's how many she lost in a very very short period of time, when all she was capable of doing was lowering the war index approx 15 points. Yeee Hawww Kudos for that impressive accomplishment.

Actually Mr.Tang we can and at the same time, we've never used school or work as an excuse. We stated that even when we are away from the computer, the likes of you and your clan, or windbag for that matter, couldn't take one of our countries.
Also you stated "we should be ready at all times and prepared to fight" We are and have been. Why would you state that and then cry on the forums you weren't ready? This is a war game. The documents state that if you have more than one country(secured) you should be prepared to defend it. If not, you can put it/them in WP. You if anybody should know this, seeing how DTA planned an attack against us and lost. Why? Because you like many others, don't understand the war engine.

Tang, I think you need to gather more information before making your judgments.

The total decs from Windy on that ONE country are up to 15 or so at this point and that is AFTER DTA decd it with 10, literally, non-stop war on that one country for more than 2 full weeks straight now.

My post wasn't about excuses, it was about addressing the war nub's comments on 3 wing air defense which she clearly doesn't understand and is still yet to fire a shot into. I was adding that judging how easy it is to bring down air defense while you are shooting at a basically inactive country isn't very accurate, it may be for W because that is the only kind of countries she ever attacks, but that has more to do with her cowardice than anything else.
