War Game

Several changes were made to military units and supply units and they are now moving about 50% faster. Supply units wait time after arrival is shortened and they quickly move to the next assignment.

Also air supply units are now flying about 50% faster and can execute more flights. These units capacity was recently increased. These changes are aimed at shortening the waiting time for air transport when moving military units.

Converting Game money into Gold coins

A problem was fixed that blocked exchanges even if the debt was in public corporations only. Public corporations debt does not influence cash for GC exchange any more.

Garrisons

Garrisons cannot be stationed at private and public corporations.
The garrison's page has an additional button that allows you to view ammunition details.
Existing garrisons at private and public corporations are automatically dismantled after all weapons and ammunition are removed.

Cash in Private Corporations

As we announced before, private corporations are now supported by the CEO in case they run out of cash. When the cash level goes under 20B, an automatic transfer of 15B takes place from the CEO owner to the corporation. This will improve their cash position although loans in private corporations remain possible as before.

Smaller Military units, navies and Bases - pre announcement

Military units will become a bit smaller. This change is proportional and is aimed at a reduction in the cost of military units including a reduction in the number of soldiers and officers needed.

The change of about 10% in the size of all units will reduce the number of weapons lost per attack in any war. Also the max size of the navy is decreased and each navy can now carry a maximum number of 18.000 weapons. This number will be reduced by another 2000 in the coming weeks.

The same will take place in all military bases, decreasing the max number of weapons per base to 35.000 with a further reduction to 30.000 in the coming weeks.

This change will be effectuated in the next update next week (between Oct. 19 and Oct. 21).

C3 Wars - preannouncement

C3 of war level 4 and up will see an increase in the cash remaining in the country when it is conquered. The cash is intended as a reward to the winner of the war. Cash is easier to move out and has direct value for the winner. There is no need for many clicks in removing weapons and ammunition from the country.

The amount will depend on the war level of the C3 country. In higher levels, we will also add Gold Coin awards.

This change will be effectuated in the next update next week (between Oct. 19 and Oct. 21).

C3 war level 5 to level 8

New war levels, including the feature that requires the attacker to invade a C3 country that is not directly bordering his country will be added. In all C3 wars, a certain number of areas must be conquered before the war is won.

Also this change will be effectuated in the next update next week (between Oct. 19 and Oct. 21).

Awesome Tom! Not only returning profitability in c3's but making it *CASH*. Talk about reduced clicking...sweet.

Other changes sound really good as well.

Has any thought been given to the suggestion by Blueserpent (I think) in limiting the number of forts in countries? There is a downside in that it will allow player countries to be easier to take, but I was thinking the following would be pretty cool:

0-20 mil pop max 20 forts
20-30 mil - 40 forts max
30-40 mil - 60 forts max
40-60 mil - 80 forts max
60 mil+ - 100 forts max

I think that system will reduce clicking involved in taking smaller countries (c3's or inactives) while allowing players who have invested heavily to keep their assets more protected).

Anyway, just a thought, I know cities/towns/counties function in a similar way, thought it would make sense for forts as well.

Great job Tom!

We have already reduced the number of forts in C3 countries. There will be more in higher levels however.

Reducing the numbers in countries with presidents will make it much easier to conquer them and reduce the possibility to defend with many garrisons.

100 is quite limited. We used to have thousands of them!

Question:

If you reduce a countries fort limit based on population size, will there also be a max size on a countries offensive capability?

From my previous reaction you can see that we do not favor a reduction from 100.

Depending on population will make it even more complex for the president who will need to quickly order forts when population grows

For now, 100 seems to be a good number for countries with presidents.

FB a war world where no one can war? I reached lvl 4 and most players are lvl 3. I haven't seen anyone take out a lvl 4 c3 yet on fb. Why put in place these war level's on fb. Its the war world why make it a place where you can only fight people on your lvl. It clearly states the risks of making an empire on fb before you decide to go there. I've learned the war game by fighting vets when I first came to fb. You learn nothing from fighting c3's. But you gain a lot from fighting players better then you. Please stop changing the war world. Soon it will become another econ world with cheap weapons and an unsecured main country.

true.

we are preparing a different setup for FB.
we will publish the details in a week or so.

War levels will be identical to the other worlds with the same C3 levels.

Wars against countries with presidents will follow the same system, but with a wider range of the parameters which will allow for more risk as FB is intended.

There is however no reason, even on FB, for a very experienced player to roll over a beginner.

Understood Tom, just seemed like a good idea to get rid of some of the clicking...it would be great if there was a way to make heavily invested in countries more difficult to take without that difficulty coming primarily from more clicking.

Anyway, really good changes today.

Smokes - Everyone has been in a holding pattern waiting to see what would happen with the system, I think now that the biggest issue has been cleared up (cost/assets in c3's) that more people will begin to progress, especially once additional levels get rolled out although I do agree there should be less limitation on FB than on other worlds...just makes sense.

Question: War Level 0

Can a human player at War Level 0 attack another human player at war level 0?

I believe so Maestro, but in order to be level 0 I believe a player must have never even fought a c3.
