This is a list of minor game awkward moments with the "old" interface and possibly the "new" (though I don't use the "new" interface since I find it unrevealing with information). Along with various items that have popped into my head along the way that I consider minor changes/improvements, or cosmetic issues. Thoughts?

1. Closing facilities in a country. Every closure page does not have a direct link back to the pertinent section. Example: I close 100 Elementary Schools. I can only close more or return the country page. What if I want to close some high schools next? Why not a link back to the education section?

2. Garrison management. The initial options are "Deploy Garrisons to targets", "upgrade fighting level", "check supply units". Why not add "Create/Modify garrison blueprints"?

3. Moving corporations. When building a corporation there's a "search again" link, even after you select a location. When moving one because you don't agree with an individuals taxation policies or for other reasons, there's no "search again" link once you select a country. If I find that a country is unacceptable for a move (say a former player country that's crammed to the gills with enterprise corporations). My only choice is either hitting back in the browser (not really a problem) or starting the search all over again. Adding that link back to the search results page and allowing to search again would be convenient.

4. Selling product from corporations to yourself. Since there is a "contract full production to country and accept" option available, is it possible to add a "sell all stock to country and accept" or "sell all stock to enterprise and accept" option? Considering the number of individual clicks involved in just moving plutonium around...

5. Removing product stocks from corporations. I don't know if I'm just picking a bad time for doing this or not, maybe someone has had better luck, but I can only extract the existing supply - 1 month production of product. Does someone know a specific time frame where all of a supply can be removed? If not, could this be altered to either allow all stock to be removed or to allow stock - 1 month production to be removed?

6. Contracts. If I set a contracted quantity to go to a country at say amount 112,500 units and later want to revise that contract to say 100,000 units. Currently the only method is to cancel the contract and then reissue it. Since I typically control all parties involved, this is just a matter of clicking back and forth through multiple screens. Would it be feasible to allow either party to renegotiate the amount in some fashion, then just letting the other approve the change. Thereby you could carve off say 12,500 units if using the example above.

7. Sales/purchases in space. The price display is a little confusing to me to say the least and I assume it is to other people.. Currently say 1 strategic bomb being sold by myself is 1 coin for 3.70 bombs. If I was buying that strategic bomb, how much am I paying per bomb? Would it be feasible to alter this to instead say 1 bomb for 0.52GC?

8. Investment funds and share purchases/sales. Why not change the limit from 4% to 5%? Not much, but it'd make some things slightly less annoying.

9. Common market interface for accepting contracts for country stock or for individual corporation stocks. Could this change from SC$ value to actual quantity needed? While it's nice to know that say a Factory Maintenance Unit corporation needs 135.68M SC$ in Services per month at that point in time, why not get down to brass tacks? How many units of services is that?

10. Will corporation "growth" finish any time soon?

11. Will shortages of a product have an impact at some point other than to just the price? They used to. Obviously just shutting everything off would wreak quite a bit of havoc, but gradually phasing them into meaningfulness would definitely have an impact. Either, people would respond, or people would complain. I would hope that most people would adjust.

12. Share splits, reverse share splits. These are at best pointless and annoying, be nice if they were voluntarily undertaken.

Thanks Whitedarkness for a second i thought i was the only person on this game who wanted to post ideas.

I agreed with your share idea. There should be options. Either it can be done automatically or by choice.

As for the shortages of an item i hope so there should be a change just like in a real life

Prices go down if theres alot of it
Prices go up if there is a huge damage.
Seems weird that theres -3B tons of medical material and equipment and nothings happening

Anyways thanks for the ideas WD i really hope maybe we can get something done :)

I really hope that they take time to fix old problems before adding more to their plate.

Most of these are minor game short comings. I certainly don't want the creation of some new complex system.

Why? #1: The simplest solution or the simplest system to do a job is almost always the best.

#2: You have achieved perfection, not when there is nothing left to add, but nothing left to take away.

13: Ammunition and Weapon Quality Upgrades (Order Strategies): These two items are still not functional on the "Products in Stock: Order Strategies" page. The primary reason for the lack of demand is most likely that most people don't want to bother manually ordering a massive amount of these (particularly ammo upgrades) every time they log in. Admittedly this wouldn't affect me since I supply my own, but it would functionally activate this market.

14. Changes with latest update.

A. The little running total for education priorities is no longer displayed.

B. Many pages are rendering so that they display in a very tiny width.

Some of the pages affects so far that have been affected by this include the following:

I: Loan status page (country and enterprise)
II: Corporation rename (country and enterprise)
III: Page to select where to build a corporation (enterprise)
IV: Messages.
V: From close observation it appears that most pages are in some way not as wide as the display for the computer and have shrunk to the widest informational item that has to be displayed (observed on a corporation detail page).
VI: I'm not going to continue listing, I could be here all day.
Issues are occuring in either Firefox 3.6 or IE 8.

buy orders
price changes are killing me on these
say I offer to buy at 100 % of market price
and increase my offer by 1% per month
but don't find anything at that price the first month
next month the price has gone up 5%
my buy offer which should be 101% of market price is now 96% of market price
amounts offered should recalculate based on current market price every month
or there should be an option to change the amount of the offer like there is for sell orders

A. The little running total for education priorities is no longer displayed.

So you know, if you highlight the area with your mouse you can see it.

Still needs to be fixed, obviously.

airlifting

in order to airlift, you must select an offensive air base in the receiving country. but "Select from a list," doesn't work, you have to click on the o air base from the map, and ofcourse those bases are often crowded out of view by units... so fix it so that when you are airlifting, you can use the "Select from a list,"

o, and didn't some one a long time ago, sugggest some sort of automated naming program, so that you don't have to manually name all your corps to Oil 1, Oil 2, Oil 3, extra...

and some one mentioned creating some sort of project pages for ceo's, when you can say, put all your ceo corps for your own countries into a "project page," and manage them seperately from the rest of your corps (different sals, and quality, sales strats, what ever,) and it'd be cool to have several of these project pages available...

That's good to know BC.

Orbiter: Interest details, I've never air lifted so I wouldn't know about that one. :)

Investment fund targets, now that could be interesting and make certain painful processes for those of us doing things with our IF funds besides ignoring them less of a torture.

Automated naming, I do remember that as a suggestion.

Project pages...essentially, grouping corps together. Would allow some interesting options.

These are all ideas I barfed into a bag 2 years ago. But we needed to help destroy the war game to satisfy Whiteboy before making any of these common sense fixes a priority.

Anyone hear from Whiteboy lately? No? I guess the changes weren't disastrous enough for him.

14A and B have been mostly fixed. The only remaining issue appears to be that the little news pages are showing up as white on white.

15?
Add more than 3,000 km/mi for the Military Air Trasnport planes. With 3,000 km/mi they cant go hardly any where. You cant airlift your troops hardly anythere either. That 3,000 is just to short.

15a. Why cant AirCraft Carriers and Ships carry troops to land in nations far away?
