I'd like to hear from everyone, why they chose their usernames.

Mine is a little boring, but I picked the name of my first dog, a Siberian Husky.

Border C

I stole mine from a guy I knew years ago. Then I found out it stood for Border Collie. I had just thought it was a cool name. But then I ended up getting a Border Collie about 2 years ago. Best freakin dog EVER.

Red is my favorite color, and Scarlet sounds better as a name. Bet that was interesting.

I used to play Empire Earth alot online. I was in a clan with the tag Asesino, which is spanish for assassin. Apparently they gave names out based on animals, and Serpent was the name I was given. Just kinda stuck with that name for pretty much all games I play now.

Lex Nation came from my lack of creativity. I was trying to think of a cool name and came up with nothing, so I looked around my office and saw my Lexmark printer, hence the name Lex Nation.

1. Why can't you use your civilian name?
2. Why do you even have a karaoke name?

It's a reference to Weis and Hickman's Death Gate Cycle series.

Also it's a blatant oxymoron.

KobraKommandar (Fearless Blue)

This was the named I had for my present major player in usofearth. I had gotten to the top of the game a number of months back and in joking around with my allies I came up with this tyranical, all powerful yet blundering idiot of a persona who wanted all to bow down upon him but couldn't even tie his own shoe laces. Then when it was time to create a new small player he was the logical character. While growing him I made him the laughingstock of the game. Then at the right time when everyone was attacking my main I shifted millions of troops to Kobra and kicked everyone's ass before they could connect the two. Then he got to rule over everyone (well actually after a week he got bored and passed it to his right hand man) and assail the defeated with vile yet witty comments. Had to see how'd he fair here since he outgrew that game!

Parsifal (Kebir Blue)

Thursday, December 23, 2010 - 11:37 pm Click here to edit this post
Parsifal is a myth about a young man who seeks to answer a riddle presented by the Fisher King in Grail Castle. If he answers correctly he will win the right to marry the daughter of the king, Fleur Blanche. The question is, "who does the grail serve?" He hesitates in his answer, becomes bored since he can't marry the princess and leaves the castle to find his bliss. after many years he returns and because he is wiser now, he knows the correct answer and is able to marry the princess. There are several points to the story; 1.)wisdom comes with age and experience 2.) that which we seek is often right in front of us.

That's a real oversimplification of the story.

Aaron

My first name is Aaron for real, therefore I call myself Aaron, roughly 35 years ago my parents decided on this name for reasons unknown, my wife was mad at me one day some years ago and called me Aaron #$&&!!!Dooblavay(neither #$&&!!! or Dooblavay are my real last name but we laughed and it kinda stuck as a joke between us so I picked Aaron Doolavay.
