The portal server for Simcountry.com was replaced today by a new server which is more powerfull and will allow for more players, better response time and have a lot of space for growth.
The new server has many more processors than its predecessor, and more space.
The previous server was in fact fast enough but we have seen some increased load during backup activity.
we have also moved to a more up to date operating system version which is more secure.
The next change will be a replacement for the Fearless blue world.
FB is the slowest of all the worlds and the new server will make a big difference.
The change will take place tomorrow, Jan. 5, between 8 AM and 9 AM Amsterdam (2-3 AM EST) and will take 15 to 30 minutes to complete.
All the other worlds will continue to run during that upgrade.
