1. War on Fearless Blue

Recent changes in the rules of war have done a lot to protect players who are not interested in war and players who are new to the game. The new rules were introduced on all the worlds.

We are now moving to relax the war rules for Fearless Blue and allow for easier and less limited war process. To keep protecting new players, we will limit the wars for low war level countries to wars against C3 countries.

All countries on Fearless Blue with war levels 0, 1 and 2 will be able to declare wars only on C3 countries and by doing so they will gain some war experience and if such wars are won, they will increase their war level. Attacking C3 countries at your own war level, allows for a slower move up the war levels and will give new players more experience before they enter the higher risk, president against president war scenario.

Players at War level 3 and higher, on the Fearless Blue world, will be able to fight any other country with a war level of 3 and higher. There will be no limitations.

We believe that such relaxation of the war rules on FB will create more differentiation between FB and the other worlds.

We plan this change for next week, to start on January 18.

2. The production of Nuclear Weapons

To create more differentiation between our 5 worlds, we will start some product specialization that will be specific for a single world.

The first such specialization will allow for some nuclear weapons to be produced on Fearless Blue only.

This change will be introduced only after space shuttle automation is completed. Space shuttle automation will allow for automatic transport of products by cargo shuttles between a country and a space station without manual intervention to start each mission.

Once this is in place, we will start some product specialization and extend it to more products in the future.

The change was suggested by a player and adapted by W3creative. In time, it will allow for more differentiation between all the worlds.

The change will take several months to complete.

Interesting, but painful.

Good change for FB. If it works out maybe other worlds warlevels restrictions can be relaxed somewhat to once again open up the field for player/player wars, but much of this that has already been hotly debated :P

Change about nuclear weapons is interesting, interstellar gun-running seems to be way of the future. But what will happen to todays nuclear weapons production on the other worlds? Phasing em out over the months to come?

True enough.. but its "seems" to be going in the right direction and at least its not game wide(other then nuke products) and limited to FB, where we can see how this pans out.

Good.

Removing WP boosters on FB would be good, too.

People are not allowed to take a vacation or short break from the game?

WP must stay on every world, including FB.

The us of WP should be better regulated.

"People are not allowed to take a vacation or short break from the game?" lol, NO, they're not!

We're changing the Game Docs, section #7, More Game Features, War, paragraph 43, Temporary War Protection. It CURRENTLY says that "A last but very effective way to prevent war is the temporary war protection that can be used by any country. The temporary war protection can be turned on while you are on vacation or unavailable. Its duration is limited to several weeks per year.

Each country is cumulating
[sic] a war protection period. The temporary war protection period increases each game month by 0.1 game months. The max period a country can accumulate is 60 game months (that is 20 real days).

However, since I'm advocating removing WP boosters, that logically means that I'm ALSO advocating eliminating accumulated temporary vacation WP, too. And therefore, that means that people will NOT be allowed to take a vacation, or even a short break!

Gamemasters, please ignore the above and below sarcastic comments.

For everyone else, YES, my faction is advocating OUTLAWING VACATIONS for all simcountry players on FB! Use your frequent flier miles NOW, because soon they will be worthless! Soon to come: elimination of bathroom privileges.

I'm fine with accumulated WP but no boosters, max out the accumulation to 30 days for extended breaks/vacations.

WP should be used only for what it was intended for, especially since the restrictions are being maintained for players at less than level 3, so econ players will maintain basically free protection.

The time is now, test it out on FB.

Here's a question for the players that have a job and spouse.

Should the blackout period be extended for weekdays?

Here is a typical day of a married simcountry player:

Sleep
Breakfast
Commute to work
Work
Lunch Break
Work
Commute Home
Dinner
Shag Wife
Play Simcountry with the lights low
Rent a porn movie
Take the garbage out
Sleep

In this typical day how many hours are really available to play the game during the week?

The issue with blackouts is that if they are increased it becomes increasingly likely that players can basically be blacked out from fighting. With the amount of time it takes to bring down a strong slave if you increase the blackouts even more (I believe they are at 8 hrs now) you can make it so that it will be impossible to take down a large country without gang banging it with a bunch of players. War against strong air D and garrisons takes a LONG time.
