I daresay that the time has come to forgo the cumbersome and beclouded speech of loanwords borrowed from sundry wordsets of outlander stock and begin the work of forswearing Greek- and Latin-drawn words thus paying greater heed to those Anglo-Saxon-drawn words. As a means to begin such a shift in the wordset, I have chosen to go overboard to draw a sampling of what such a shift would need. However, I am only one man with weird thoughts afloat in the great sea of many folks' thoughts, drowned out by iffiness, half-mindedness, and mistrust. One can and ought to ask, "Why work to awaken these words? What makes this gainsome hunt seem worthwhile?" Truly, the answer is simply because many folk mindlessly overuse, undertaking to seem deep, not just loanwords drawn from Greek and Latin but, rather, whole wordgroups wrapping in these loanwords with no knowledge as to what they truly mean.

To speak truthfully, I must avow that the wielding of Anglo-Saxon drawn words is a bit burdensome and that one needs to think over and look up the roots of every word before spelling it out. Don't even get me started on the many words that can't even be wielded toward simple wordsharing and the many words that must be crafted together. It has been almost a thousand years since this kind of wordset has even been wielded alone. If wielded sparingly and willfully, Anglo-Saxon drawn words commonly lack the beclouded flashiness of outlander wordsets. This is the underlying draw of these homely words. However, I am just throwing away some spare time more than working to make an overthreading point.

(Not limited to Anglo-Saxon words.) In effect, I'm really just saying that its better to not bother trying to appear sophisticated by using Latin- and Greek-derived words. If you want a revealing play on words, 'most attempts at the appearance of sophistication are mere sophistry' and hide the meaning of the actual language. "Eschew obfuscation, espouse elucidation" is the motto . . . which would mean when applied: Avoid being unclear, promote clearness.

However, I will mention that Anglo-Saxon roots do offer plenty of interesting words like sundry, winsome, reckoning, gainsaying, etc. All of which have their usefulness. As a vocabulary-building exercise, this is proving to be very useful.

I completely disagree, Scarlet. I personally think we should return to the mother language, "Leet Speak".

In my own wardship, I'm not flawless, but I hope that I didn't let anything else leak through. Driving on, I don't believe Leet Speak or Binary bear any buildsome end toward talking. Haha, I like how swapping communication with talking made the saying look self-enlightening.

The main thing to think about is that both binary and base64 are ways of beshrouding an already forebeing tongue. Without knowledge of the thus beshrouded tongue or the key for unbeshrouding, the aforespoken tongues show themselves as nothing but gibberish. As such, these cannot be deemed as tongues at all. This is ground enough to slight both in upholding the main thought of talking over true tongues.

Italics... smart move.

So, what's your stance on aforsaken?

Edit: It appears you edited it. Afore is a different matter.

What do you mean?

Afore- is a forepart of a word meaning 'before' making aforespoken into 'spoken before' or further 'in that which was earlier spoken of'. Aforespoken came about by working to swap out aforementioned with an Anglo-Saxon root. The a- here is not wielded with the meaning of the Greek a- (not), but in the Anglo-Saxon meaning (in, toward, at, on, to).

I can't call back to mind writing aforsaken, but for- is not the same thing as fore-. Heeding the meanings of each, one is wielded in the thoughts behind "forbid, forswear, and forgo", and the other is wielded in the thoughts behind "foresee, forenoon, and foretell". With for- words, putting a- before the for- has no true meaning as far as I know since their meanings seem to undo each other.

I noticed that, that's why I edited the post to say "afore" is a different matter.

I have no idea why I read aforsaken. And yes, it doesn't come any sense from it.
