My friends who are new players say that it is difficult to gain interesting to play this game. They said it takes you almost 2 real years to build an everage empire. Most of them stop playing after 2 real weeks. IDK

True there is not the largest player base here. But to be honest I've seen games trucking along with a lot less players and activity than there seems to be on this one. And the play style of this game is very niche oriented. It's not a game that every 12 year old on the interwebz will jump into for a few weeks until the next thing comes along.

I'm still a noob myself, but at first glance it just looks like the maps were designed for a player base that just isn't present. Like there are a couple thousand players but the maps were meant for tens of thousands. Other games have ways around this. They expand and collapse the game world according to player volume. They open servers with the same game rules to accomodate additional entries.

It seems that this game is trying to run multiple servers with different rules to accomodate several different preferences in play style. The result is that the naturally small, niche oriented, player base is spread out even further.

Like I said... noob.. could be wrong.

@revelation
Well it does seems alot of these players are very rude. Have no respect.

It seems only one good player actually has something nice to say, Caoyi, Thank you for a kind comment.

actually the game has gotten better over the last couple of months. back then there were only about a third of the countries that had pres'. now it's about 2/3rds. i sure a lot of those are non paying players but still there's a lot more people. the war game has gotten better for new players so they don't get destroyed by seasoned players, but it's still difficult to create an empire. i've been playing for 4 1/2 years and it used to take only about six months to develop a good empire. but there are lots of things to learn in the game and there are some very helpful players. good luck to you.

well I was thinking about writing a list of reasons why people don't play, but I'll just summarize it and say that the game has its share of problems. :\

If you don't want to be wrong forever, why not become a full member?

I think the game has gotten a lot better since the last time i played. The one good thing is that there are no resets and new players can build a decent country and hopefully this gives them a little nudge towards full membership.

The one thing i recently discovered which i dont' like, is that in order to reach a certain level you need an enterprise... oh well.. game can't be perfect and I guess I wont' reach level 7 since I do not plan on opening an enterprise
