Classic science fiction author. A few minutes research would yield many titles worth reading for fans of the genre.

Protector is a highly imaginative tale dealing with an "explanation for Humanity" plot involving an alien race. Niven's views around evolution and sociology are readily apparent.

This is a must read in preparation for his more successful Ringworld series.

For a different track. You try HammerFall, the original "death by asteroid" story.

You mean the Co-dominium books? I guess they're alright. I prefer the known space, Betrayer of Worlds being the best book.
