I have been playing this RTS game Total War Empire. I love it and couldn't stop myself from dreaming that somehow simcountry and TWE could merge and become one ultimate Sim Game!!

I never really liked Empire total war...I thought it was kinda annoying when 20-25 turns in i would look and wonder what happened to the Ottomans just to realise that the Maratha Confederacy blobed out and took over all of India and the Middle-East.

@Dr. I know what you mean, I'm preparing to conquer the Marthas as we speak. Have you played any other similar games?

I played Civilization 2 almost everyday for like 10 years! lol.

Anybody tried Geo Political Simulator or Super Power 2?

I have those but there are aspects of each that just annoy me so I quit playing. If anyone knows a game along those lines, be sure to let me know.

Used to Play Civ, then graduated to the paradox games...then by accident found this game...and have been stuck here ever since..

Thought I would finish this game 6 months ago, but decided to stay.

Used to play Super Power and Super Power 2 but they are riddled with bugs. Used to play Civ 3 a ton but it gets static rather quickly. Best MMPORG in my opinion is still City of Heroes.

I heart Civ 2, 3 and 4. Never played the original.

I also heart Rome, Medieval, Medieval II, Empire, and Napoleon Total War. Yeah, I'm kind of a Total War fan.

Oh, and SimCountry's okay too I 'spose :P

I have enjoyed the Total War games that I have played, and love the Hearts of Iron series.

This game is good, still learnin the ropes. So far, so good.

I have played all of the Civ versions, though at this point I have to get my PC upgraded to properly play Civ 5. Dang it.

Also a fan of hex based war-games, such as Steel Panthers and Panzer General.

Many years ago (Before these great computer games) I played the Avlon Hill board games.

Wish they could have converted them to the computer.

Maestro- Check out Steel Panthers: World at War. Closest thing I have found so far. I just downloaded Open General, which is an open source version of Panzer General too. Will report back on that after this weekend.

I spent many hours playing AH's Russian Front with my Dad as a youngling.
