We shouldn't be talking about the deficit at all, we should be talking about borrowing cheap money and spending it on SUPERTRAINS, sewer repair, massive subsidies to the blogger-industrial complex, etc. But [Obama's] speech at least did, for the first time in awhile, draw some distinctions other than 'not quite as evil as the other guys,' which is something. Though, of course, ultimately it's the legislation that matters.
