1. Level Awards

The Award for reaching game level 7 is now increased from 50 to 100 gold coins. The award for lower game levels remains at 50 gold coins. The award for game level 11 is increased from 100 to 150 gold coins. All other game level awards remain unchanged.

2. Game Levels

Some game level requirements have been slightly relaxed. It is now a little easier to reach higher game levels in Simcountry.

3. War level awards and gold coin awards

When conquering a C3 country, the winner will in general find a large amount of game cash in the conquered country that can be used to compensate for the cost of the war. The amount depends on the war level of the C3 country.

When winning a war against a C3 country of war level 1, the amount of cash that remains in the country is around 250B. The amount is increasing with the war levels and is currently 15T if the C3 country is in war level 7.

The amounts are now four times higher for winning wars against C3 countries of war level 1 through 3 and increased to 6T for winning a war against a C3 country in war level 4.

In addition, there are gold coins awards for players who reach higher war levels. These awards are currently implemented on FB only.

As of today, war level awards on Fearless Blue world have increased.

When reaching war level 3, the award is 10 Gold coins. (was zero).
When reaching war level 4, the award is 50 gold coins (was 10 gold coins)
When reaching war level 5, the award is 50 gold coins (was 10 gold coins)
When reaching war level 6, the award is 75 gold coins (was 25 gold coins)
When reaching war level 7, the award is 100 gold coins (was 25 gold coins)

The total of award gold coins is increased from 70 gold coins to 285 gold coins for moving a country from war level 1 to war level 8.

4. Product Shortages

To prevent any possibility of a major collapse of the simcountry markets, some procedures were in place to measure and intervene if shortages became too severe.

A recent review of these procedures revealed that they were in some cases too pessimistic and intervened too frequently while there was no danger of collapse.

All such interventions added some product to the market but only a small percentage of the shortage. These procedures never influenced the market price and never turned a shortage into a surplus. The style of the intervention was: if there is a shortage in Factory maintenance units that was more than 60% of the monthly use, add 10% of the shortage to the market.

The procedure is re-tuned in the past weeks and it is now much less active. It means that some products will now show larger shortages than before and as a result, some corporations will find it difficult to get their raw materials. Such shortages can lead to reduced production in other products and shortages have already spread more widely in the markets.

The interventions have always targeted a small number of products that are essential in the production process of many corporations. This is unchanged but the trigger for an intervention is now harder to reach.

It makes a lot of sense to analyze your use of products both in the country and the industry. Make sure you produce some of the most important products yourself. Check the market for products in chronic short supply and close contracts with others for a steady delivery of what you need.

5. Shortages of maintenance units for water treatment installations

Shortages in these units used to cause the water treatment installations to be closed. This is now changed and no closings will take place any more. Shortages do have an influence on the supply index. The supply index is a factor in the welfare index and keeping the country supplied should be a priority.

To stop closings in recent days, and before this change was introduced, we have added many such maintenance products into the market and reduced the shortages. These interventions are now stopped.

Will players be compensated for rewards they would have received? For instance, I moved from Level 6 to Level 7 before the update. Will 50 GC be added to my account?

Also, Tom, I think you should leave the markets to stabilise themselves. Don't add more magic supply dust :P We were halfway to a completely corporation-based economy!

Tom, is there any chance of an updated list to cover the level requirements for both the peaceful game and the full game?

It would be nice to know in advance which levels are realistically attainable and to see which changes have been made in comparison to the list currently available in the game documentation. :)

I don't think that there should be injections of products with shortages, I think that we should just have to work together and figure it out, either by buying more or by starting a world war. So it would be nice if war levels were gotten rid of too.

never had a problem before war levels SS. WP isnt the only way to protect yourself. America, Britain, everyone in the real world has to protect themselves and be allied with the right people. So it should be in SC. Please come back to this point with an educated opinion when you have fought a few PvP wars.

Actually open sesame, I reckon wars were good for a world economy generally, ammo and weapon corps could be very profitable and lots more of them were around, needing lots more supplies from other corps and so on. But yeah, ole billy bob does come up with some howlers huh?

Getting rid of war levels on FB???

There are so many c3 countries on FB world.

Maybe if the world was saturated with players. (Which isn't the case on FB world or any other world)

There's enough gravy in this turkey for all of us.

You're missing the point again maesto, war is not taking C3s for a bit of worker transfer, or a very small amount of financial gain (read: gravy). War is a completely different part of the game. A one on one challenge, a test of nerve, skill, cunning, risking your virtual assets, allsorts. Try it one day, you might find you like it. It may even make a man of you... or not.

@crafty ...Feel free to find others players at war level 3 on FB world....

...and have your wars.

Leave us napkin folders alone.

@maestro ...Feel free to fold napkins on the other 4 worlds...

...and do your econ thing.

FB is the war world, if you dont like it there, play somewhere else.

Yet again, you miss the point of my post. It doesn't matter how many C3s there are on FB, some people enjoy PvP contests, diplomacy, federations, banter, flaming etc etc. Why do you have a problem letting some people play the way they want, only one world has been asked for, you have your protection elsewhere. Why should some people have impunity to act as they want, do what they want, without fear of reprecussions? Grow some balls man, you can easily afford a good defense.

Maestro to be honest with you, why do you play? the moment they lift war levels you'll get 25 declares from god knows who, you wont even have time to use WP (which im guessing he's already invested in. be an Arms dealer or soemthing, believe it or not, it used to take alot of guts for people to make that move to FB..they actually feared it.

where Federations, werent just Names you make up for your empire to be connected to your Common Market, believe it or not, as Crafty Mentioned, even if people were in WP if fedded and signed war treaty, they came out of protection and faught along side you.

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

The Names Fearless, and if you arent fearless, get the hell out of the flowerbed because the risk of war...is what smells so sweet..or well it used to. I forgot the smell as of late..

Maestro you and your visa card missed the days where names such as LOFN, 3M, The Mob, WGC, GREF, etc..etc..mean't something so many other feds, so many wars im sure Crafty remembers, as well as many others (or lack there of wars..*cough WGC*) New players arent getting to spread their wings, show their stuff, be recruited by feds, because frankly, they dont need one, and if im a level higher than them, I can't help anyway. Well they fixed that but you catch my drift. I'll happily hostile bid your corporations until you leave...or fight. See, you've made yourself vulnerable, and a target. So if you're already scared, sell ur countries, or if you need help in your decisions I know SEVERAL people who would love to hostile bid every corporation you own until you do leave. not only love to do it, but can afford to ;) with in game assets. :D

That doesn't answer any of points. Are you saying you dont have an answer to me? Just admit you are wrong seeing as how you cant make any valid arguement, grow some balls, it doesn't hurt to say you got it wrong.

@crafty: There is no reason to say I'm wrong. You want war or the fear of war on FB world. So have it with other players that have reached war level 3.

End of story.

You obviously dont even bother to read what others post, so stuck in your narrow minded way that you are. I reckon by the general tone of all posts that you are getting out-numbered Maestro.

Either get some FB defence, I'll even show you how, or move off. It's not all about you I'm afraid, you have to bend to others wishes.

I want to war the players that get on my nerves.

Any random player won't do.

The most annoying players hide behind the War Levels (and hide/hid behind War Protection) because they don't know how to keep their traps shut.

As an econ player myself, I normally have sympathy for anyone subjected to economic warfare - namely losing corporations by way of hostile bids.

However, playing on the war world with no intention of fighting wars and completely safe from military attack makes it easy to create an exception.
