There is a new public vote proposal to allow a president to organize the state corporations of a country into a state enterprise.

The language of the proposal is below. Read it, discuss it, think it over, and vote!

----Proposal----

STATE ENTERPRISES: Whereas, the countries of Full members should have the ability to exercise, as far as technically possible, the rights, priveleges, and powers accorded to sovereign states-

we request the GMs make it, that for a ONE-TIME fee (similar to purchasing a C3) a president be allowed to organize any or all of the state corporations of a single country into a STATE ENTERPRISE. And, that other than the ONE-TIME fee to establish it, this state enterprise conforms to all other game rules concerning enterprises; including all the rights, priveleges, powers, and responsibilities of an enterprise.

Notwithstanding the above, each country maintains its power to build state corporations independent of a state enterprise.

Just some of my logic in support:

1: There'd be lots of new economic activity (i.e., profit to be made) if countries could join in with CEO Enterprises in building corps across LU.

2: I see LOTS of new players popup and then fade away because they can't break even profit-wise. I personally, would love to be able to help a few of these guys and gals out with a corp or two.

3: This could be a mechanism to create true economic superpowers - countries with REAL economic clout (and thus influence) in a particular region, continent, or world.

I don't understand.

Full members can already own enterprises in addition to their countries. What's the purpose of this?

Kitsune: I believe a full member is still required to register a whole new CEO Enterprise. And is forced to pay 20 GC each real month to keep the additional registration. (That's unsustainable for anyone except the absolute top players.) I was hoping to free that up a bit, by allowing a president to create a state version of an enterprise from their existing state corps.

Guess to save paying 30GC/month.

I don't like having to manage 2 entities. I would much prefer for it to be under 1 roof. Once upon a time, you chose CEO or country, now you need both.

I don't see why we should need CEOs if you're playing a country to climb the game levels, also I'm quite sure a country can retrain housewives and rehabilitate disabled people without having private investment.

I just see it as having to do and pay more.

Goth, even if you cant initially make an enterprise at least pay for itself (which isnt hard really, just have to keep building corps) you can use them to great advantage by building and IPO-ing corps in your own country. Hence your countrys extra income will cover the monthly enterprise fee. Only difficulty is the waiting period to build in other pres countries, but C3s will do to start and you can move them later. (silly waiting time, but hey).
There are other advantages too, free storage for one.

Honestly mate, they are worth it, you just have to put in the work.

See what you're saying Crafty. I was looking at it from a different perspective. Realizing, it would probably be more headache than it's worth. Blah. Poopoo this idea.

Well Crafty I been playing for about a month or two and am still only making a profit because of beginners bonus. I would be loosing 1-4 billion a month otherwise. This is mostly because I have a small military but one large enough to be the difference between making a profit or not (excluding beginners bonus)

Anyway does anyone want to mentor me?

I need help ! ! !

94%employment, 100+ education, health and welfare

one private corp two nationalised and 14 state corps. TI am not stupid but to be honest I really don't know where to find out basic things like to nationalse or not, to privitise or not and hom much money/military you need to take over a C3

Chairman: The forums are a good place to get answers. Don't hesitate to read through them and post your own questions. They've helped me out tremendously!

What's the name of your country? We'll take a peek.

Think I found you... The Cuban Republic, right?

Looks like your transportation is really high. (Rumor is, water is the only trans index that truly affects welfare and thus corp production. Roads and rail are more for country score and ranking.)

Also, you may have too many state corps. Looks like a few are low production due to severe lack of workers. Too many corps will compete for workers, causing them to suffer worker shortages. With production so low, these companies aren't paying you a dime. You can increase population or close a few state corps to free up workers.
