I finished buying all the ammo and weapons needed to set up garrisons. I bought everything at 230Q. I wanted to boost the fighting lvl to 250, so i went to upgrade the fighting LVL and saw that ALL the weapons and ammo that i just payed a primium for is now at 80Q !!!!!!!! either reimburse or fix this immediatly. To many fixes need to be done to thw war engine. This is a game I AM PAYING FOR. I have been playing AND paying for well over 2 years. I spent the last 3 months ammasing over a half a quad of ammo alone for these garrisons, ALL at 230Q. If this goes unanswered, I will have no choice but to QUIT SC. THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS.

Feel your pain man!!

I had a similar problem (on a smaller scale). I found my probs came from a few supply units had dropped their fighting q to a very very low level.

Homer, is your supply units atleast at weapon and ammo quality level?

Forgive me, but at the rate w3 is moving nowadays I figure this is the only way to rectify this situation.

For some reason, if

I

declare on players.... actions to counter my relentless release of undying fury upon my enemies are taken swiftly...

yea, even swiftly by the Tommi{s}...

You are most welcome Homerdome :) I can't say this isn't based on old rivalries but more so bc its been a while...

I love the smell of green little adolescents, b00bs, n00bs, dudes, slobs, blobs, and double-bobs burning in the morning.

The Q of my supply units is 80, but i would think that it wouldnt reduce the 230Q of my units that far. When i setup the ints, they where also 230Q and it reduced them to 180. I want my money back, or the problem fixed.

the garrisons thing has been like that for quite some time.

7 countries on LU, 7 countries on WG, 7 countries on FB... amounts to allot of lost money via weapon/ammo quality dropping when stuff is put into the gars.

Serpent, a while back sent a message to GM regarding supply bugs. and they know this is how it works. so its just the way it is. so now, we *have* to spend tons of money on upgrades to keep us safe from nukes.

W3C mentioned some where that fighting quality was much higher than the war engine could handle. and then they turned around and increased the fighting levels... honestly, upgrading is a money pit. that is bigger, the bigger your military is. none of the worlds really produce enough upgrades, and the upgrades degrade at an uncomfortable rate.

seriously, i doubt much will change, because this is costing the guys (and gals,) with large militaries, MUCH, more than the average player. so most likely, until certain cash reserves have been crippled, nothing will change.

personally, i don't really see this as a bad thing. some of the underlying complaints about the war game, is the obsessive size of militaries, making the war game tedious. and the gross mismatch of size of older players, to mediocre players. such things as ammo upgrades, unit fighting levels, and limited military set of supplies (bombers for instance,) are the best things going to reduce the over all size of militarilies.

only problem with it, is people like me that know how to get around certain limitations. and can maintain their old level of military... and of course, those of us that can, have to, to protect ourselves, from each other.

if you have say 5 of each base, and want to set up full sized garrisons in all nukable targets, it'll take 360M ammo upgrades. taking a basement estimate of 36T, in ammo upgrades. for just 40ish gars.

the 36T, i might point out is about 180GC. that means for the same cost of upgrading a skeleton defense. you could build a 30-35m econ country...

the cost of military today, is outrageous. and thats just the upgrades. war slaves have always cost more than econ slaves, but this has just expanded the difference.

i've been noticing all this months, and considered it all carefully. honestly, in the long run, i think its a good thing, it just makes things difficult in the short run. the biggest problem i for see, is when one of W3C favorite sons gets hurt from this, then things will change. until then, as long as it is the unpopular aggressive war players that suffer... nothing will change.

It would seem that the root to OP problem is low quality supply units. I think that W3C idea about the weakest link setting the highest quality level is a bit hard. Is it really balanced for 200+q items to be down right downgraded to trash because of weak supply units? Maybe some sort of downgrading is wise but this draconian method is really hard.

For myself ive begun to upgrade supply units before starting to supply the garrisons, and even then its really hard to get those garrisons starting at a viable level. And upgrading takes forever, even after 3 RL months most of my garrisons has only jumped a few points in q... it not even possible to buy and sustain the quality atm at any viable system. I have even been using space transport to bypass limits. It gets real expensive but its doesnt even help.... yeah this is working as intended....

The increase in cost of war, can be equated to the decreased difficulty in making GC. At 200B a pop GC are nothing.

Planned changes:

The quality exchange between the weapons and ammunition that are bound to be transported to a military unit with the supply unit will be stopped. The quality of what the supply unit is loading for transport will remain unchanged when the weapons and ammunitions are delivered to the unit.

dont think it works. I just finished deploying garrisons in another country. Supply units where at 165Q, ammo and weapons at 230. After everything was deployed I had 80Q garrisons and 80Q supply units. Im trying again with another country. This time the supply units are at 230Q, same or close to the weapons and ammo Q.

Just remember, any weapons/ammo you had in stock with a low Q, will affect the Q of the new weapons/ammo purchased, making the Q of the new stuff lower.

Well there are other strategies for defence than large heavy duty garrisons. Who wants to try to fight through 100 wings at Q350 :)

I had some defensive equipment at Q225 I activated and put into units, then I dismantled the units and deactivated, and now its at Q137 and Q127 ??

I always buys up at Q225, all my military equipment should be at Q225 from the very beginning, but it seems that the Q decreases when it has been RAPED and LOOTED in the units...
