My first was probably something quite basic but the board game that I loved and played much in my childhood and still love to is Monopoly.

We grew up playing all sorts of games. We had regular "game nights" on weekends and even during the week at my house.

Monopoly was a huge house favorite. We even wrote down games during the week when we would have to go to bed so we could finish them the next night. We made up special rules (like double hotels--which they have in skyscrapers now--and speed games--and they have a "speed" die now).

Parchese (sp?) was another house favorite. My dad was a total shark in that game--you just couldn't beat him. We also played Sorry! which was kind of like it.

We had others. Pictionary, Battleship, Scategories to name a few.

Risk and Stratego became standards as we got older. As did card games like Canasta and Rummy. In fact, I am watching football and playing Canasta out at my brother's house later this afternoon. :)

Risk is probably my favorite board game now. My boys and I play it on Sunday evenings from time to time.

I love SimCity too. I liked 4, but you had to get all the patches for the transportation mods at simtroplis to make it good.

simcity 4 resets on new OS
simcity 3000 don't run on new OS
I guess we need a SimCity 5
I wander what a Maxis made CD based Simcountry would be like
and I wander what this one would react
Galciv is cool you can make military and structures at the same time but I can't get the Metaverse to work
plus you can like design units
why would a sport game company buy a sim company and a war game company Westwood
what are sport games that much popular?
Only sport I could ever play was Blitzball version 1. Version 2 is crap. Not even physical Education at least not competively
I have not played a board for ages.
can't run, catch, throw, or hit
