I had my corps salaries on automated for a while but the computer never changed them, does salary automation work and if so how? Like at what point does it raise or lower salaries?

Yes it works. You set it to what you want, say 300, and it raises incrementally every month until it reaches that. if you are lowering salary, back to 200 for instance, it does the reverse.

The other automation setting is (which I presumed Tom referred to) is the one that automatically adjusts them in order to meet full employment.

Personally I dont recommend using it Tom. You might find shortages of workers because of too low salaries. A lot rides on salaries. More $ = happier people = they produce more in the factories. And the well paid invest money in dividends and pensions which help pay your health and education bills.
Yep, you're better off controlling salaries yourself.

I was more thinking of using it as a CEO rather then with my country, so having low wage rates wouldn't be a bad thing really?

Currently I just set my salaries to 150 in my enterprise with most corps, don't want to waist money paying workers more then I need to. However for time to time can get some worker shortages was wondering if auto manage would handle it well for me?

I tried it on a few of my corps for a few game months, nothing happen no salary changes and they kept using their old targets, I don't think salary automation is a properly functioning feature, I would like it if the development team would work on that because it could be really helpful and realistic if done well :)

(This is only what I have found with a very short and limited trial other people may have different experiences with salary automation, if you do please tell us about them, we are keen to learn)
