Professional Officers and Solders (White Giant)

OK, I have 8 countries and no professionals, where are they coming from?

where do these professionals come from and who gets the gc for them and can you produce ur own

You get them from direct trade
Gm get the GCs
You Can't make your own but you can resell the ones you already have

The price started at 7.5GCs per 3k officers and a further 7.5GCs if you want 10k soldiers. Those prices are now upto 7.6GCs.

In my opinion, they're massively expensive.

If you're a war player, why pay that amount when a good chunk would be killed in war.

If you're an econ player, you would need to invest the equivalent monthly cost of paying the salaries for a few hundred game years.

I bought 1 of each to experiment but I cannot see the point at the moment of any further purchases.

Other than the setup upfront cost

How does the cost of maintaining a small professional army compare to the extra government cost an Econ player pays for having little/no army?

At those prices they better regenerate like trolls and drive battlemechs into battle.

but I am not going to spend USD to buy em
So whenever I am over 100GC I'll buy em
I say yes to the soldiers of Fortune
or million dollar mercenaries
my enterprise is rolling and I'll LBC, convens, and such for GC

7.5GC is WAY to much

Your telling me that 2M soldiers and 1M officers = 2250GC MINIMUM.
---Math---3M divide by 10K = 300 * 7.5= 2250---
granted it could and will be higher.
2250GC = 315T thats the cost of weapons

GM might wants to consider selling them in bundles of 40K troops and 10K officers and doing that for about 25GC that might be better suited for players and if they can add a way for use to make are own.

ok - i took the plunge & bought 3000 officers for 7+ gold coins. It says in the trade section i own them. but where the hell did they go?

I dont see a line in my main or slaves under war for them - how do i send them to where they are needed? I checked war documentation...but dont see the rules.

Didn't Andy say they were automatically replacing officers from the general population? So you should see an increase of 3K MLM on your employment pages.

Auto replace officers? Fine - but in which country? 3000 Medium level managers? Who can track them - I get that many graduates in each country a month lol. If I need soldiers (Pros) in a country at risk & the auto application sends them to my secured MAIN on another side of the map - then its useless.

I'd buy 1M prof soldiers for a war slave - but dont want to have to hunt for them in every saloon in every econ slave or in a brothel in my MAIN.
