Why the hell are my education priorities resetting every single time I make a change? Quite irritating if you have mass shortages and an economic disaster like me.

I have reset edu prio 3 times but i come back the next day and they've reverted back. GM, is this a glitch? Am I gonna have to write another email? Considering the state of my country, I could almost hold you accountable for the mass shortages I have been experiencing and the terrible financial situation i have found myself in. I've had to close an empire because another bigger one isnt making enough money to keep it afloat!
I, at one stage, changed my edu pri and left it for 2 weeks, hoping that if i waited, everything would sort itself out. I come back and its switched back?! GM, unless you can give me a reason for this or even better a solution, I say look into this and FIX THIS MEGA-GLITCH ASAP.

Cheers,
Your (pissed off) friend,
T

Tom it is likely due to beginners economic protection being triggered or auto triggering because of certain situations like mass shortages.

I think the real problem is that these triggers would make the box on the automation page become "checked" but now it triggers the function without checking the box. So when a player has a lower finance rating in most cases due to changes the system resets trade strategy to what it believes are the best settings to correct the financial situation, or worker shortages due to changes in most cases as of late will trigger the the function to reset your education priorities to what the system believes to be the best settings to correct your worker shortages.

There hasn't been an official response to these happenings but I would bet that during one of these updates these functions can now trigger without the box allowing you to turn them back off and this situation rinses and repeated until players become frustrated for lack of a better or educated GM explanation

That is my most uneducated and well thought out guess. Be careful this road to rage leads nowhere fast and I'm speaking from experience in hopes of not letting you crash into the same wall I did when I was last driving while drunk(pissed). :)

I thought after game level 3 no automatic help systems at all were activated. I'm sure I could find and quote this coming direct from the GM.

T, you are over level 3? (cant be arsed to check).

I was over LV3(5 at one stage)- then my economy went up in flames and I fell to 3 and even 2 for a while- thats what must have happened then.

Disabled some of the automation settings- seems to have done the trick. Thanks Wendy/Crafty.

Cheers,

I've never experienced these sort of problems, so I can't postulate why this might be happening. All I can do is add in my stats, which may help work out why and why not ...

Levels 12 - 14, education index of around 192, employment index of around 96%, FI of between 113 (recently) and 140. Automation switched off. With those stats, no problems. Which one (or combination) is the deciding factor, I don't know ... :(

Hope that helps!

Hugs and respect

Jo
