Must just be the way I'm advertising it. I've had over 35,000 messages on my blog which has links to my web sites. So I guess I've had 100's of thousands of visitors yet not one payment.

Nix have you looked at the campaign results? On the portal page look for affiliate marketing on the left sidebar and click on it. Then go to campaign results button and you should see the people who clicked through, the number of people that registered for free and the amount of people that contributed. The people who join the full member version of the game are the ones you should get paid for. If you have a balance due you may have to email the gms to remind them.

Not too sure what this means:

As of December 15, rewarding links to Simcountry will change.

The first 3 links per player will always be rewarded.
Links will always be rewarded if they are placed on the homepage of a website.

Examples:

http://www.playerwebsite.com will always be rewarded.

http://www.playerwebsite.com/some_page.html or http://www.playerwebsite.com/some_script?p=123
will be rewarded up to three times per player.

I see what may be happening to you nix.

You have to choose one campaign or the other. If you use the link that only promotes simcountry, but not as an affiliate, you're just raping yourself of potential commission.

You need to replace all links that do not use your tracking code with links that do. Or you can manu8ally alter those non-paying links to include the tracking code.

I guess the real question here is, "will w3c will recognize an affiliate link as a valid link for the non-paying program that rewards with gold coins."

Most likely you aren't registering as many hits on your campaign page due to the non-affiliate links that pay only in gold coins for simply being there.

Personally, I'd opt out of the GC paying program seeing as they are so cheap and post up only affiliate links with the potential for a cash reward incentive.

Struggling to implant the code with the pictures. The basic link code I have had no problem with. Does the site have to be a e-commerce site for the picture code?

No Nix I think you are just doing something wrong. if you are using like Wordpress free than yeah I think they restrict links to paying sites.

I'm not sure if that is your problem at all. I've done a bunch of stuff with my code.

You just need to post a picture, and use the auto/hyperlink function when the box comes in to insert the link, just use the example of the code you used at the top. Alternatively Nix, if you are using wordpress.com and you can't post banners and affiliate links i can offer you a sub-domain under my main domain if you want to promote your stuff.

there are two co marketing programs.

one is awarding you gold coins if you place a link on the main page of a site.
This is explain on the program page and you can see your own links and when they are expected to pay you gold coins and how many.

The other program pays $ 6 for every contributing members you are responsible for.

we have documented that payments will take place when 3 have been accumulated (paying $ 18) to reduce the relative high paypal costs.

We might start paying even if there is one but then $ 6 is not a big deal.

Both programs are explained in details on the affiliate marketing page. the link is on the left frame after you login.
