I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.

I have been between 100 million and 108 million for the past real few months on FB in my main.

I have need of 850 hospitals for a 100 health index.

I have slightly more than 1500 but my population continues to decline. My health index has to be at least 175(I would do the math but it is pretty easy to guestimate).

With that high of an index I am still losing around 1 million pop every two real days. This is a serious concern that I don't think GM is taking seriously.

Players have asked why the seemingly unexplainable declines are still taking place at such high indexes as 140. I have an index of over 150, but the weighted index is taking forever to reflect the real index. Currently the graph shows about 0.1 tenth of a percentage gain per game month.

So now that I have a nearly (actual)180 health index, what gives? Why anm I still seeing numbers decline in such large amounts.

My population looked like it would stabilize, but it isn't doing so no matter what. Can the GM please speak on the matter and enlighten us all to the scret that wilol stabilize our populations.

I have not sold population in more than a few months on FB. I have been consistently buying pop for ages and even in my lower population countries(50 - 60 million) the decline is ridiculous.

What is the magic number that will stabilize out populations. The numbers and explanations that have been given thus far are insufficient.

Thank You.

It could be a retirement bubble, Wendy. That is to say that if you increased population suddenly a generation ago, now those simpeople are aging all at once and then dying. If you have been steadily buying pop, then it will turn up with the same demographic as you already have ... ie: too many old people, which will make the situation worse and for longer.

Check your percentage of retired people. If it's above 13.5% of the population or the number of retired people is steadily increasing (which yours is) then chances are that's what it is. If so then reducing your HI will help. More people will die in the short term (call it euthanasia) and the decrease will get worse temporarily, but it will address the imbalance in the long-term. Don't continue to buy-in population, as it will just result in more retired people who then die :(

If you have a country that is doing well on births and has low retirement, buy pop in there and then send it across if you're under 100M. Inter-empire transfers appear with the demographic of the country sending the population. You can also transfer 1M pop from one to the other and back again once a day and it will sort itself out in couple of weeks / a month. Don't overdo it, though, or the retirement bubble will appear in the other country!

If all your countries are doing it, or you are over 100M pop, then the only solution is to reduce HI and wait. Or not reduce HI and wait even longer. I have 3 out of 10 countries doing it at the moment, and it's a slog to sort it out ... :(

Hope it helps :)

Rather than destroy hospitals, turn them into Special Clinics. That has the same effect and should also help any worker shortages. Plus you have them still there to convert back into hospitals once you get over the bubble.

We explained this several times before:

natural death in all age groups continues and population at very high levels will decline very slowly.

If the population declines fast, it is because you have sold population some time before. This was explained on the forum and on the game news many times in the the past months.

hospitals and a high health index will reduce natural death but will never stop it.

I also explained to you that I had not sold population from my main on Fb. In fact, all I have done with this country in particular, is buy population.

That was clear, no? I have not sold population from Queen of Battle on Fearless Blue. If this is the only reason that my population is declining, then something is wrong. And that is what I have and continue trying to report to you. Why do you think I haven't read your past response?

Moving on past this however, since we'll go in the same circle and get nowhere...

Why are land units and special forces not liberating painted areas of the map? This has not happened to me ever before.

And why are my fleets not repairing in at least 7 consecutive game months without any attacks from my opponent?

The pop issue is dead already, I am more concerned with this now.
