Its been brought up and i know its not me. I haven't done anything to my empire and yet my costs have gone up almost 70B. I used to run 80B a month but now im sitting around 140B. 140B a month is VERY excessive. Anyone else having these issues? If so the GM needs to take sudden action

Most costs for the country declined recently.
Gov. cost increased because materials used are more expensive.

the total of the country costs declined.

Government cost increases when the population grows and when more countries are added to the empire.

We expect numbers to continue to decline, both cost and income. This trend follows the recent decline of the exchange rate for the game currency against gold coins.

thats expected andy

But if you review my account in question
you see i used to run 80B a month in costs now i run 145B? That means im using 2times more even when i know im not i suggest the GM inspect Melichor on LU and look at the cost of government over the last 2real months and this will give you the point of reference in which players are talking about

I see an empire with 6 countries and population of 100M +.
the government cost runs about 30% of the total revenue. We see this more often.

It is very high but the population is very high too.

I think that with population under 100M, probably in other countries in the same empire, government could be much lower. with population at 50M it could be not twice but 4 times lower.

45M pop(my slave nations) run 25M
100M (leader nation) 145B?

It almost seems as if the government costs of all my slaves =100(20B each) plus the 40B needed for 100M.

All im saying is it seems weird that the cost of a 100M pop nation in 5times higher then a country with half its pop.
