Closed Shuttle Corps. Shouldn't have happened. (Fearless Blue)

We I just had two cargo shuttle corps that were topped of with supplies and corps for the last real month running fine and suddenly close for no reason. I topped off all supplies then topped off cash. The corps had no loans.

It is pretty sick that CEO's corps suck the profit back into from your cash reserve back into a corp that needs cash to stay afloat.

Why is this not the case with cargo shuttle corps? Or any state corps for that matter.

What is worse is that the corps closed between 6 - 8 game months ago. All 60 month supplies, and max cash. There was no reason for this to happen.

Players are increasingly having this happen to them as well.

Can we expect Shuttle corps to be fixed at some point.

What is even more annoying is that my empire is in a state of growth. Naturally during times of expansion, some indexes suffer. Shuttle Corps are a level 6 corp. I cannot build another for more than likely a very long time.

So my production of cargo shuttles has been halted. I'm getting sick of clicking already. Can we reduce the game level of high tech and strategic corps back to 3 please?

I know you cannot give me the corp back. but can you please lower the requirements for the time being?

Cargo shuttle corporations are doing great if you check from time to time and provide them with enough cash.
Arbitrary closing is not part of this game and never happens.
The cash requirements are now much lower than in the past because the price of cargo shuttles in SC$ is much lower than before.

In the mean time, cargo shuttles are selling for many gold coins which is much more than the cost of making them.

These corporations are more complex than others and we have said before:

you can make a lot of money on cargo shuttles if you know how to do it.
if not, services, high tech services and Factory maintenance units are all very profitable and so are many other corporations.

Andy, I never said they closed on purpose, or that something made them close purposefully.

I had cashed them up after topping off supplies. I do not understand how they closed and there was no reason for it.

I think they closed in error. Supersoldier in particular noted this is why he isn't selling shuttles anymore due to random corp closings.

This prompted me to to begin my own production. The result has been fine for weeks. Then suddenly my only 2 shuttle corps closed. They had enough cash to keep going. Therefore, I have posted the problem here.

I was not interested in making money, but rather why my corp closed for no reason. I'd appreciate if you could acknowledge that.

Thank You.

I would also like an answer. My corps have been closing for years. I'll inject cash to keep them afloat, and yet they close before they sell a single shuttle, and before they are a year old in game time.

I had that issue too. Just stopped making them. Was getting tired of having to replace shuttle corps that had the supplies and cash.

Shuttle corporations are working for a very long time and making great profits.
"closing for years" may be true in your case but in general, they work.

Now Inanna is saying that this is something happening in the past several weeks.

We did not change anything in the past several weeks except for reducing base prices that reduced the cost of shuttles and decreased the need for cash.

I will however follow the comments by Inanna and have an engineer re-check cargo shuttle corporation tomorrow morning.

I will be back here when I know the results.

Andy, I've been having shuttle corps close in less than a game year and before a single shuttle was sold.

So have many many others Keto. Our fed has complained of shuttle corps closing before a single shuttle is ever produced. It is common knowledge to us. Very few in our Fed ever attempt building space or shuttle corps because of it these days.

Keto
we checked all your shuttle corporations and the ones closed.

They all closed because of high loans.
The reason is also in the newspaper of the country where it happened.
You have bought a large number of parts for these corporations (example fuselages for 100 months of production) at a very high quality 300+ and the corporation paid 400B. It did not have the money and bankrupted.

We also checked all the closings of shuttle corporations in the last 16 game months.

without exception, they closed because of high loans.
By far, most shuttle corporations are doing very good and building cargo shuttles is very profitable. The cost to build a shuttle is 1-2 gold coins. The sale price is much higher.

We have put messages on the forum in the past and explained that the shuttle corporations need a lot of cash. Cash needs are now lower than before because the price of raw materials and the price of the shuttles (in SC$) is now lower. but cash needs remain high.

If you do not want to check these corporations from time to time and provide them with large amounts of cash, you can better build other types of corporations.

cargo shuttle corporations remain more difficult than other corporations.

You could have checked mine when I reported the issue, but in my case that was longer than 16 months ago, I am a liar? wow.

I know why you didn't check because you would have seen I did buy all those supplies like you said except I put the money in immediately following. Therefore there were no loans, becuase I put the money back in before a loan could even be processed.

But that's cool I guess. Thanks Andy.

I take your comments seriously.

we did not check corporations by name of the player, we just looked at all the shuttle corporations that closed recently.

we saw that all closed because of high loans. This can happen very quickly if they purchase large quantities of materials.

we saw very large drops in cash in these corporations and traced them back to purchases of parts.
