would it be productive to take over a c3 for the sole purpose of trading execs for llw and mlw?

If true would it be even more productive to set educational priorities with this in mind?

If still true would this be productive at speeding up population gains, to a decent effect?

yes to all three, but the third one is a bit tricky, i wouldn't rely on that. because you'll need all of workers, so you'll have to jack some things way up, and end up with problems later

the best way to do what your thinking, would be to use C3s to manhandle your work force into being what you want. you want to increase your EI? raid a C3, and before you do anything else, close the schools, wait a gm, then transfer out to get your teachers and professors. do the same with hospitals. once your get your ei at 150 or above, then start trading in HTS, lots and lots of HTS, and HLM, and HTE, and for good a WS, lots and lots of MLM. if you set your education priorities right, you can smooth it out nicely over time.

what your thinking, is that you way over educate, and use the high salary professionals to trade in for fresh llw. the thing i'd advise against that, don't turn this game into a job.

what you want in your country is HTS, HTX, EXE, HLM in your country making money, you really shouldn't make a strategy on trading them out. they are your countries economic back bone.

I overeducate to get the welfare up so that my corps can build up faster a free 25% production without effect of salaries. but geez do those worker levels suffer. And I can't drop the execs down if i need to. But I think I've got a couple strategies to work out. And I can also see the massive time needed if done the wrong way

with out looking, i might offer an alternate suggestion. change your building plan, to build more of the heavy HTS via corps such as ammo upgrades, and ammo parts, even solid missle fuel can be really cool... but sounds like you do have a good plan!

Drew,
To increase production in corporations, you need to get the welfare index in these corporations as high as possible.

Part of it comes from the welfare index in the country. In that index, education is important but education > 120 does not add much. you need education >120 for other reasons.
you also need transportation > 120, health >120, and good supplies in the country (no shortages). All these are not too difficult to achieve.

The other major factor in the corporate welfare index is the salary level in the corporations.
This is a tricky one because increasing it to very high levels will increase the cost.
Up to some salary level, the increased level brings more revenue than the cost involved.

The effect is not linear. if you double the salaries you do not double their effect on the welfare index in the corporation.

example: if salaries go from a level of 400 to a level of 900 (this is extreme but does make the point), then the effect of the salary increase will be more like 2 to 3.
You increase salaries by 225% and you gain an increase in the welfare factor from salaries of 50%. The total effect on the welfare index is even less because the country welfare index remains unchanged.

At lower salary levels the increase in corporate salaries is clearly profitable. at very very high levels, it is not.
There is no general optimal level because it depends on the product price in the market and it is not the same for all types of corporations.

In recent months, as product pricing reduced with the generally declining numbers, salary cost, as a percentage of the total corporate cost, increased. (salaries remained unchanged while other costs declined). very high salaries are now less beneficial than before and the optimal salary level is now a little lower.

We do not know what the optimal level is and as I said, it depends on the market, product type and product quality!

I hope all this makes sense to you.

Thanks I got that lol. My ed level is my established countries are even over 200. Probably a bit excessive I know.

I've did my studying and hypothesis testing in this area already Andy, But thanks anyways. I've been tooling things a lot. Corporate welfare (salaries) + country welfare (ed, health etc)~ production.

So if i'm willing to let my country take the hit of boosting welfare levels with excess ed, health etc. My corps themselves will benefit, despite inefficient costs for my country. That's the move I was making. But let's say my ed is 224.22 ummm... some random # maybe... I notice that my worker shortages are ALWAYS LMH Level Workers, not managers, or high tech guys. Is this a proper coorelation? I've moving around this issue anyways, but when planning for the future it would be nice to know. Hypothetical situation if I had an education level of 450 (don't know if possible) would I gain any Low Level Workers if all 120 priority is spread out between the 12 other categories?

thats why i'm saying, if you have that high EI, make use of it by putting the higher salary workers, to work. if you are relying on raiding, for workers, then you will have to keep doing it. making it a job. use the advantage if raiding for certain boosts. using c3's for EI, and HI, and for stacking up extra HTS, thumbs up!! trading HTS, for llw? well it works, but you'll run across other problems, and you'll be stuck in having to do it more to dig out!!

no i get you, thanks orbiter. i was just hoping to get some more math. The more math you get the more perfect you can plan. So I think my main questions are answered. And th higher ed is the less low level employees you get. I've really got to rank back up.

To get to 5 though, pop growth is far too slow. Oh well thanks everybody

Spiderman is lame. I don't like it, change it.

Plus the most recent long haired male fashion choice resembles freedom of expression, disdain for authority, and a sense of simplistic values. It would be so hypocritical for me to cut it. You being a fascist goes against what I stand for, everything I'm about, so no I will not conform to your outlandish demand. Just as it's not right for me to tell you to change your immature uncreative alterego of spiderman. In which never demands anyone else to conform to something so non-utility

OMG Serpent, I forgot to tell you this. lol My cuz lives in a log cabin near the woods in the countryside outside Nashville. She has a lovely covered deck off the front of her cabin home. She has a daybed of sorts that serves as outdoor seating.

I get a call day before yesterday. She said she was lying on the bed, reading a book and heard something hitting up against the bed. She turned to the left and looked and there coming up through the back cushions next to her face was a black snake staring at her and its tongue slithering!!! It was a 3-foot long SNAKE. (Non poisonous) OMG OMG OMG She screamed and peed on herself. AND RAN!!! ha ha ha ha Good thing I wasn't there. I would have died instantly from heart failure lol

Thank you for your well wishes.

Well, Drew Baby, if someone telling you to cut your hair or you gonna die, hits a chord wif you, you need to quit Sim Country now and the internet!!!!...if that is all it takes to put your lil panties in a wad. ha ha ha Furthermore, when you surpass the number of years and the vast game experience that I have and prestige in war and economy that I have in the game (ha ha ha), then you can earn the right to tell me what to do as in "pick better ones" (no apostrophe needed). Imma gonna do and say what I wanna. Whatcha gonna do???!!! lol
