I would like to cordially invite all simcountry players to the chat room.
Chat has been dead for a few weeks/months.
Chat is a great place for newer players to interact with established players, learn the ropes of simcountry, maybe even learn some secrets that took us veterans years to learn.
You can share ideas/problems with other players.
Make new friends, join federations or use the room as a place to rant.
C'mon people, chat used to be a great place to hangout!
P.S.-if you don't come to chat I will dec each and everyone of your countries! |

I'm with Keto. Some of the best times that I had in this game was the good natured fun we used to have in chat. I encourage all players to pop in, especially new ones, for game help and to build relationships with other players.
BUT.... for us clueless players, like myself.... I dun like ALL game talk and NO SPORTS topics, please. SHOES - an AWESOME topic!!!! :-P

I know it seems a decent more people do post in the forums but can never find their way into the chat room. It is a good place for all the reasons stated above. |

I've never had a problem. One time someone posted thousands of smiley's and crashed the chat program for hours.. but other than that.. Maybe your java is not up to date..??? I have no idea why it wouldn't work. |

Well ya'll who do still play the game, do try to visit chat and revamp it for the newcomer. Perhaps then the game will pick up and peoples' interest will pick up.
Some poor lil fella was in there today and I was the only one there to help him. He got unlucky. lol But I referred him to someone who could help. So I did my good Sim Deed. |

Well seeing as WildEyes still remains "moderator" of chat, and I disagree with this decision by the game masters, I am taking my leave once again. All I can say is "Good Luck."
I came back because I was told that he/she did not moderate chat any more.

Crafty, I have issue that a player who so misbehaved in the past in this game is rewarded with a position of moderator. You forget this is a player that made threats against me into my real life that had nothing to do with the game.
Furthermore, this player is biased in this position. I came back into the game to say hi I believe in April. I was talking to Wendy and Redman in chat when WildEyes came in as moderator. When he/she read it was I in chat, I was immediately banned. The only thing I said in answer to a question as to where I had been, I answered truthfully that I left the game because of the above stated reason. This was before Wild even entered into chat. Redman, Wendy and I were having friendly conversation when I was banned. There was nothing I stated to be offensive or to be construed as bad conduct.
I have issue with this. I really think the world of some of you, I had so much fun with you over the years, why I keep coming back to say hi and to see how you are. I assure you, it isn't the game. I never really excelled in that but I did have my heyday! lol
I feel very strongly about this issue of moderator, that yes, I will stay away until someone is assigned the job who is unbiased and has no conflict in holding the position. I will never feel comfortable going into Chat with WildEyes as the chat moderator given our history and especially since in his/her authoritative role, he/she has already once unjustly banned me.
These are my reasons, Crafty. Besides, from what I have seen noone really laughs and has fun in the game any more. Chat is dead. Forum is practically dead as there are totally NO SHOE discussions at all! I tried to impart some humor :S I think I did an epic fail thinggy y'all talk about. lol

Yeah, but look Tom, there is a lot of history, lots of it before you came along. And the chat room needed a moderator bad, a lot of people were calling for it, things were getting out of hand with sophomores logging in to create havoc, crashing the room with spam smilies, racism, all sorts.
Maybe Jessica wasn't the ideal choice but she promised a lot of things. Moderating on a personal level like she did with Lorelei is abuse of that power tho', if that's how it happened. We had a fine mod in Laguna, imo, but some didn't like him. Same would be the case if it were you or I.
I say the GM should email LH and ask him back with the promise of being mod  |

Laguna was and still would be a good mod. Also i think crafty you would be a good mod, your helpful to players and fair when speaking. I think would be a nice choice myself, because of this and you activity in the chat/forums |

Crafty, I don't lie, so what I stated about my banning in April is what happened. I have absolutely nothing to gain or to lose by lying.
I just want to say that I sincerely hope that this game takes off again, and it becomes the fun place that it used to be for others as it used to be for me at one time.
I am happy that the game owners have reembraced the concept of a moderator for forum and chat as it was needed. I just do not agree and will not support their current choice for chat moderator due to this player's past behavior in the game and especially in light of Wild banning me back in April unjustly Perhaps a public apology from the Game Master and WildEyes herself would be appropriate here for this back in April? I did report it to the GMs. Alas, no reply.
Anyways, enough said. I won't broach the subject again. I am obviously the only one who has this concern and as I'm not really integral to the game, it probably is not concerning to any of you anyways.
I just happened to read this tonight because I was interested to see the outcome of the Prophecy post, it being August 11. lol
Anyways, thanks for putting up with me the last few weeks while I've been home recuperating. I've really done quite well, but am having lots of issues with muscle spasms and soreness. Pain pills don't even help. I should take a pic of my scar and post it as my avatar but then that would be a pic of my boobs and I dun think that would be appropriate! ha ha ha
Thanks for all the in game messages and hellos.... you all know who you are. :-) I really enjoyed chatting with Serpent, Dixon and Old1 in chat....seemed like old times. Yessssss I chatted non stop. lol Sowwy..... It was due to months of withdrawals ha ha ha
I think I will not cancel my account this time. I will pop in to say hello from time to time, but I won't frequent Chat.
