It's like when your Momma said you never wanna be caught dead or in an accident in dirty underwear. Well just on the off chance that you might get your butt kicked in the contest, you wanna go out in STYLE. Either way, win or lose the contest, you come out the winner in my book! (Not that you would get your butt kicked, but one must always be prepared for the unexpected.) |

I have had that exact same question for all my years in Simcountry. I preach on shoes, I post on shoes, I've asked for shoes....NADA! I'm posting subliminal messages to the GMs daily to make them eat, drink and sleep shoes and they still not getting it. OUR SIM PEEPS NEED SHOES!!!! Oh we gots clothing, cars, jewelry. We have soybeans, for Gawd's sake. Yet..... we have no shoes. They could serve as a duo purpose in this game - used as a means to protect our feet and to be used by our militaries as weapons.
So, I beseech the GMs to please hear our need!

I had to take some time to respond to your inquiry, as the thought was so disturbing, I was traumatized. I even had a restless night last night. I will say this after much thought....a big HELL NO to wearing sandals with socks on!
OMG! The ONLY pardon I give you for even doing this and I'm sure you do since you asked, is that you don't actually put your socks over your sandals. You being a Brit I would have expected even this, seeing as y'all do everything backwards and weird over there.

and our fall and spring consists of 2 weeks that the temp fluctautes between 32 and 98 day by day
you wake up to frost by twelve you got the windows down
or vice versa depending on day. after those two weeks its either COLD for two months or HOT for 10 |

Just as in love, it IS better to have bought and not worn than to have never bought at all. Even at the cost that the shoe will one day hurt, because it no longer fits right, thus devastating you.
As to the other, it is ALWAYS best to be prepared for the unknown. I am currently buying and stockpiling ALL the shoes I can because after the great end of the Mayan calendar.....and doomsday, there may no longer be shoe stores for me to frequent!!! Never a waste. Always a preparation of sorts! |
