my war on drugs has taken a turn towards prescription drugs. if you can provide me with means to battle that, then speak up or keep your pie hole shut. i Pale Rider return to game because honestly i'm at a crossroad and you people are some of the best minds i've ever come across in my entire life. i won't humble myself as i need to stay mean but i do ask your thoughts on fighting those prescription drugs. namely oxicottons. big brother has my number by the way so if you don't post i'll understand. i been a bad boy. hehehe....

Its a heroin substitute, what can you do?

Help the abusers in the same way as you would any junkie. The manufacturer has altered the pills to prevent crushing and injecting/snorting.

Oxycodone is a legit pain killer for those who can't handle morphine.

If you can, you should collect large amounts of evidence of abuse and effects and submit it to the FDA. Good luck there though, the pharma industry is mighty powerful, but not unassailable.

Oh lordy, I was poppin Oxicodone like tic tacs following my open heart surgery. But I'm not an addict. Hiya Pale, welcome back. I hope you are doing okay. I think it is up to the prescriber to exercise some intellect when issuing narcotic drugs. I had open heart surgery,and it was like an act of congress for me to get pain meds. So docs were exercising good sense and caution. I had to whine a lot to get them, but I legitimately needed them. I do know that there are docs who hand out prescriptions for these drugs freely, and they should not do this.

i've come back from alcoholism, and my late father in his day defeated cocaine. the best advise he ever gave me... pick a day, say Tuesday, and don't do your thing on that day. Wednesday you can go back. after a while, it'll become comfortable, and easier, then try 2 days...

Congratulations, Josias, on your achievement. I have had friends who were alcoholics, and I know it is a tough addiction to beat. I think your Dad gave you excellent advice. The hardest thing I've faced is quitting smoking. Every time I get the urge to pick up the cigarette, I tell myself.... remember how you felt when you woke up from your bypass surgery? Also I don't look at it as something I am doing without, but rather something that I choose not to do. Empowerment is an awesome thing. Keep up the good work!

buy why are narcotics perscribed so much more often over weed or other natural (in stoner voice) alternatives which side affects include (THE MUNCHIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, RELAXATION, PEACEFUL EASY FEELING, AND OMG INCREASED LIBIDO!!!!!!!!!!!!) WTF

Pot isn't a painkiller, and some doctors can prescribe it for things as miniscule as depression, or headaches

I HATE Painkillers.... EXCEPT for Anesthesia...

Having Cerebral palsy not learning to walk til 3 and then learning to walk 3 times in my life... well lets just say to me my legs are a constant "Discomfort" but to someone else that hasn't been hardened to it i believe would be PAIN... I Have an extremely high Pain tolerance and and if i cant feel my legs I AM HATING LIFE. as for any other drug... it can go to hell my mind is Psychotically strange enough and i do thing that make no sense to others as is.

Painkillers make you weak... hell i crushed my hand with a trailer the other day... hit it so hard i lost my hearing from trauma for 5 minutes lol Wouldn't even take a Advil xD.

BUT I understand why other people would succumb to them. my life made me hate crutches of any kind but i understand that sometimes some people need one. the fact that your fighting it means you are stronger than a lot of people Pale and i have nothing but respect for you.

But the OPs question was how to deal with the supply of these drugs off the street I presume, or too readily prescribed. Trouble is, there is always some other substitute found immediately. And far eastern places sell all kinds of concoctions on the net.

I myself think there is a good case for the legalisation of weed, by far the least harmful of our recreational drugs of choice, financially for the govt. coffers too. If you could get that at the local store, surely lots of people wouldn't even be exposed to other shit let alone use other shit because its easier or as easy to get as pot.

Nah its Automatic BC I wanted auto for just my driving around. to be honest my legs SHOULD be weaker but theyre actually not i don't really let it bother me... hell I'm in school for Paramedics right now so i dont exactly lean on it lol
