Tomorrow, October 10 there will be an update to Simcountry involving changes to the Portal Page.

The portal page will change significantly.

The left frame on the page has several new features that were previously available from the top-of-the-page menu.

Features have been regrouped but none were dropped. All the functions remain available but may have been moved. Features that show3ed more than one time have been eliminated.

The top-of-the-page menus are reduced. Many commands that were also available on the left frame of the page are eliminated from the menu.

Example: both the Direct market features and cash market features are now available from the left frame under the name: Direct Trading.
Both sub menus have been removed.

This change is part of a major redesign of the Simcountry site.
It is a partial change and more will follow.

A next update may reduce the menu even more and more commands will be eliminated or moved to the left frame.

More updates are underway.

many map icons will be replaced and new icons will be added to the available choices.

The Simcountry home page will be redesigned and many of the underlying pages will also undergo functional and design updates.

These changes will be gradual but will follow in weekly or by-weekly rounds in the coming 2 or 3 months.

I dont think its the threads "Andy"

Jonni is a great PR...Whens she coming back? You just covering right? Shes just on a long well deserved break i guess.

(Yes you can ban me for stating that i dont like the current PR person of W3C)

Personally i really like her shes prompt, polite, and ive never had issues with her, she seems to be so nice and we get half the hassle from her then "Some" current and past PR....Just saying

I promise to start advertising SC again and becoming more "productive" when she gets back from her vacation

Soldier, you're a nutter. First I think you'll find Jonni is Jozi's son, not daughter. And he wanted to ban me from chat a long time ago for quoting a song lyric that had 'jewish' in it. Meh, I had to explain to him and tell him I was once married to a Jewish girl. But regardless of that old incident, he does seem reasonable enough as does robocop.

sbroccoli, surely it's the first impressions that most people use to decide to enter the game or not. A bigger player base is obviously good for W3C and it's good for us, the players.

I apologize to Jonni, Hard to write a message @ 2AM in the morning when the GF is watching dallas screaming like a manic (Hard eyes at GF sitting next to me). Kept thinking she. Jonni I'm sorry

My point does stand Crafty. Customer Service is a HUGE make or break for people. The Current and Past PR of SC hasnt been amazing. Jonni was always cool, informative and always seemed to know how to deal with us either we where happy or even a little jumpy.

I have no problem being polite and nicely discussing my views to people who have EARNED that right.

Like us for example granted we butt head but i still have good discussions and listen to you on your comments/ideas because your have earned it as you have taught me for many years.

If i am given respect, i will return it.

On the top of updates i like the new portal.
Better for new players but then i dislike it because that means nukes are still worthless and navies are stuck at 100Q... No point polishing a turd to make a look nice

Super, this is what has always bothered me about players like you and WildEyes (Jess). Your constant claims about having these "personal" relationships and "private" chats with game management to me is really not doing the game any favors and is a PR disaster for them before other players. It sends forth the message that the game is unfair. So if you are going to preach on PR, think about this, if you are indeed trying to be helpful to the game.

The Game Management should really have no interaction with players other than to answer questions, complaints, or concerns. I do think that interaction is good, but it must be fair and unbiased. The GMs have stated that these claims as stated above are incorrect.

I have played the game off and on for 5 years, and never have I had these type of "personal" involvements with the GMs. And furthermore, if you do, keep it to yourself, if you get what I'm saying.

Leave Andrew alone. He does a good job. He also has the right to remove a post if he wants to. I post and then rethink what I say and pull it all the time. Big deal. And dangit, you've just made me break a fingernail!!!! SCOWL!

Now having said this. I give you a big hug.
