I was surprised to read this in my log about transactions:

'Used 30.00 GC from your balance and play CEO of DioGn on GR for 30 days from Nov 11 2012 to Dec 11.'

I think I can READ, but I don't recall reading these conditions when I made the enterprise. Neither the 30 gc cost, nor the aparant time limit.

Does this mean that my enterprise is closed by dec 12th unless I pay another 30 GCs???

Answer to your question. Yes.

A ceo is the easiest path to profit. Much less time and maintenance needed to keep it profitable as well. They are less profitable than just a few months ago, but overall still very profitable.

Overall you need to pull 1.5T in profit every month to make your ceo pay for itself each month. Even with a small ceo this is not a tumultuous task to achieve.

If I had less time I think I would only play ceo.

If your counrty is your main then it will ost you 30GC per month to keep your EO going. If your OE is your main then (I'm pretty sure) you country(ies) cost per month.

I thought it was pretty clear, when I made my corperation I'm pretty sure it gave a warning screen.

If you don't pay the re-up fee then the game will close two companies per month from your CEO.

It's given me a warning screen saying it'll cost 30 GC to start an enterprise every time.

If you honestly didn't get the orange warning message, better send them a message.

Other than that, yeah, it'll cost 30 GC every month.

I'm thinking the issue here Mizore is these players are free members. Perhaps they are allowed to play on or the other for free, but not both.

No, I'm a premium member. And I definately understood it that way that premium lets you make as well a country as a CEO.

I may have overlooked the intial 30 GC cost all right, but I definately don't remember seeing the requirement of paying 30GC per month.

And you really gotta be readng through the lines to foresee it. Look at what it says in the account info:
-----------------
Many countries and enterprises
As a Premium Member you can start a Country or build an empire or play as a CEO in each Simcountry World. The first registration (country or enterprise) is free and included in the membership. Each additional empire requires a payment of 30 Giold Coins per month.
------------------

As I understand the advice of achieving the profit of 1,5T per month it is that the exchange rate to GC wil pay for the 30 GC.

That's fine, but it'll take you months to get there. So you still have to pay 30GCs for many months.

I think there's too much trapping in this game. This thing abot the CEO isn't the first part where it is unclear that payment will be required. The game leads you to features without mentioning the limitations of not paying.

And remember that we're not talking about playing for free versus premium. I'm allready paying, but that's not enough either.

No it doesn't take you months to get there.

Do you know coins used to be valued at +600B $SC each?

So back then you needed to clear 18Trillion to pay for itself.

I don't understand how that can be spun into a trap scenario.

If you make an initial investment you can build your ceo to some form of profitability. Granted it won't happen overnight, but you have to go through some period of growth.

Personally I think it would take me much less than a month to get a new ceo profitable. But that is also with the resources and methods I know.

You can do it if you try.

Funny how no major issues untill I reached 97 corps, now all at once products will not sell, only at ceo about 2 weeks, but there are things that just are not right.

No sweetPea, that is exactly not clear. It says each additional EMPIRE!!!

I could not understand this any other way that it meant playing extra empire on other worlds.

I could quote more phrases from the game intro and documentation that hint that one empire and one CEO is what is what you can make as premium player.

And btw. what things used to cost is of no relevance. It's not the price. It's the baiting.

It's pretty clear to me. "The first country OR enterprise is free" any additional you pay.

Note OR being the clue.

There always been a popup warning about costs any time I opened a ceo anyway.

the only thing that made me a little angry was nowhere did it say you have to be debt free to buy the coins. But it says 30 gold coins PER month. Don't know where the trap is in that

Don't play semantics with me.

There was no warning in that text that an enterprise would cost me 30 GCs per month.

Some of you apparantly knew ahead what the text was SUPPOSED to say so you aren't noticing, but it actually fails to this point.

Really? I would be careful about advertising that Jennifer. It is against the rules. Multiplaying is frowned upon and likely to get you banned.

Brocolli, don't you have something better to do than say it's all the games fault when you don't understand it or get something wrong? Man up and admit you messed up.

I registered my enterprise in like june or something before I hit Ok, it said PER month, I remember just fine. You know like I kitty PURRS or like how this is game is PERRRfect at making you angry. Or how you feel SC is robbing your PURRRse. So stop PURRRoosing the forums, pretending to be a PURRRRfetional and just enjoy the PURRRplexing game already. =)

Wow.

I see this is only a friendly forum as long as you go with the mainstream.

Enjoy your flawed game then.

Because such an attitude as you show here is the best excuse for any dev not to worry about critique or to change anything major.

Mr. Broccoli,

There is nothing wrong with posting suggestions and such if put forth in a constructive and positive fashion. You will find that for the most part, the sim community is friendly, but may not always agree with you. And...when they don't agree with you or if they call you on something, it doesn't make it an "unfriendly" environment.

You strike me as a very negative person where this game is concerned. We don't agree with your attitude of "this game sucks." We happen to like the game, and that, to you, makes us "unfriendly"? because we dun wanna read negative, "whiny" posts all the time? I ask why you wish to put a downer in the public forum of a game that we enjoy playing?

If you have serious complaints, questions, perhaps you would be best served in emailing the GMs directly? We are always happy to help, as well.

Furthermore, if you find the game so "flawed" why play it? I mean if I dun like apple juice so much, why would I sit there and drink it?

I don't encourage you to leave. I encourage you to learn the game. Everything is not perfect. Games have glitches. The GMs are pretty fair in making things good if they are in error. So, why don't you stop being so negative???? and let us ALL enjoy the game!!

Oh my!

IMMEDIATE KILL!!! Jennifer has been added to my list for the following reasons:

1. I have a distinct distaste for multiaccount players... Just ask anyone here. ha ha ha ha

2. Oh, and I dun like other females invading my sim turf. According to Josias, I'm an alpha female and most ferocious. and two alpha females dun mesh well together. BE WARNED! :P

ha ha ha ha ha I'm not so sure that I'm really an alpha female. I am just spoiled and dun like to share. What's wrong wif that? ha ha ha ha How you think all my shoe throwing days got started????!!!

I needed a good laugh. Thank you, Jennifer/Edward. :S Yikers ha ha ha ha ha
