Hey has anyone else noticed a sudden drop in employment numbers for your CEOs?

I am wondering if anyone can confirm if this is due to some new worker requirements or something like that.

Is it just me?

Yep noticed it. The GM upped the salaries in c3's so that screwed around with hiring. No doubt upping costs for ceos once more? I fail to see how this would raise profits for new players as was the GMs explanation for this. I found that lowering salaries led to better profit.

I have too. Yeah raising the c3 salaries will definitively make ceos have to raise salaries in order to keep hiring.

I just got my ceos unbroken and BAM, wrench flies in from nowhere.... didn't see that coming :(

Exactly. Another reason for my frustration. My ceo was giving me a headache as it was so I decided trying to lower salries to cut costs then we get this kick in the nuts.

It gets better Gaz, you just have to be patient. Although I wholeheartedly understand.

Two weeks ago and pretty much all my corps are still suffering. I upped salaries to 250 but still there not fully hiring. Now im trying 300 but that's double the salaries I had. A 100% pay rise ffs.

With the drop in hiring/production I noticed my contacts have set to the same production level. I was wondering will the contract go back to 100% when I get the hiring back up or do I need to setup the contract again? Anyone know?

I made a thread about this about 4 hours after the changes were implicated called 'Corporation Hiring - Massive Drop', but nooone seemed particularly interested at the time.

The direct consequence of this means that as CEO's we have to have our salaries at 300 or above in order to ensure full hiring when having corps in C3 countries.

Profits have declined for all corps right across the board having increased my salaries from 250 to 325 in order to ensure full hiring.

I agree with the assessment that this is just another way of reducing chances of making any money

@Gaz - The increased salaries will slightly increase the total output at full hiring, so your contracts should work again, you may even have a small amount extra to sell, but the costs of producing it will eat into any profits you used to make.

:(

Ok thx teddy. Glad to hear.

C3's with 300 salaries pfftt. Awesome. That's something we've all been crying out for. I thought the GM read the forums because there's been several posts about struggling ceos and they go further compound the problem with this. Facepalm

This move by the GM is a kind of tax by the back door. I can't see it any other way.

If it was done to improve conditions in c3's for new players a much better solution would have been to up the schools and hospitals which in turn would up the welfare/ production? If they done that it would help us all rather than hurt us ceos. Thats so simple a solution the GM couldnt have missed it? That leads me to conclude that it was done to hurt ceo profits.

Why exactly was the salaries rasied again because my advice to any new player taking a c3 with 300 sals would be to drop them?

Welfare index in C3 countries is already increased a lot and going up.
Most corporations are doing very good. Also in C3 countries.
increase raw material quality to 180 in countries and 160 in enterprise corporations. not higher.

Andy I have been in my CEO, I only noticed some issues in the past few days. I was glancing over so I may have been late spotting the issue. But I looked thoroughly and noticed a big portion of my corps about 10 - 25% understaffed.

It was across the board. I bought some pop in my countries that host my corps to offset.

Seems to be worse in my CEO than in my empire overall.

It looks like mostly corps housed in c3 countries. I needed to correct myself it is 70% under hiring or 30% hiring in the most extreme cases.

CEO hiring depends on the situation in the countries. If they increase salaries, that might hurt you.
increase salaries to 310 to get your workers back.
corporations will remain very profitable.

Yeah I'm going to try that Andy.

It appears c3s are now paying 300 salaries? Wow. No wonder it is widespread.

Im using ASQ so I can't change the quality.

Yes I could still make a profit at 300 sals but that's not the point. Your slashing our profits Andy there's no other way to put it? People have already mentioned there's a drop in income.

It's real simple increased costs = loss in profits.

I was already struggling with my ceo costs.

300 is way to much. I've tried running a country with those sals but I soon noticed I can make more with sals less than half that. Noobs take note.

with higher salaries in C3s they will purchase more goods increasing demand and prices causing an increase in profits for many industries

Really Gaz, it increases the C3s welfare which makes it far easier for your corps to make profit in. 300 salaries aren't overly high, in fact, thats about right I reckon. I reckon it's a good thing, and Mr. T's point too, I never thought of that. It was really hard to make most corps pay in C3s with 30% tax before, it's now easier. What enterprises needed.
