| Tuesday, December 11, 2012 - 06:45 am Orbiter Tuesday, December 11, 2012 - 03:30 am i'm against a world government. but in for accommodating a multitude of player desires most the people that don't want outside interfence, are either below wl3, or above wl6 why can't the world government be limited to players in the wl3-6 range. those above can certainly advise and assosiate with lower levels, but the game doesn't allow for military interaction, and they (we) probably don't want to be bothered anyways those effected by the government, should be at a level to both assist, and resist that gov. by limiting the effect of a world gov, to the wl3-6 or 5 range. it would allow the bulk of LU, via either diplomacy, or a show of strength, determine its own path. meaning those that don't want this, will fight. you could limit this in scope, and allow players a way out, and they could still experience the full game. (by either staying low, or leveling past governed levels,) so i guess, what i'm suggesting is that instead of trying to be a "world gov," why doesn't it try being a "war level government," governing the wl3-5? but still leaving the higher levels for wanton destruction, and the lower levels for private playing.

There is already a constitution in place, but there are some things that need to be tweaked and need to be constitutional. His diplomatic skills are obviously seriously flawed, to challenge a major power without the normal channels of diplomacy. He obviously feels like he should rule the whole of LU with threats, spin and lies. Those that disagree would be eliminated. Do not you find it ironic that one of his responders is named 'Gaddafi'? This organisation has the same ideals as the other gaddafi, suppression under the guise of growth and peace. We all know how that worked out. For it is their government, by proxy, forced by military threat. This can not be an acceptable outcome. If these fools want to dictate what should or should not be done, then it would be possible through their participation in it, not by their external efforts in planning its demise.

I am an observer, therefore, I can write without bias my opinions on this matter. Every player plays their game and should have the right to play their game the way they see fit. This applies to Hezzy and his organization and also to players like Orbiter and Crafty, who have posted against this proposal. I applaud Hezzy and his group for having a vision and creating their game and community. However, I find issue with statements that "all of LU is governed by the NLUO". This is a wrongful statement. Those presidents who do not wish to participate in NLUO should not be governed by NLUO. Hezzy states that noone is being pressured to join. Well, okay, but why in the next breath say the NLUO governs all of LU? I have yet to understand this. To me, what the NLUO governs is/are those empires that JOIN the NLUO. Statements to presidents who don't want to be part of NLUO that they are being governed by NLUO, to me are justifiably to be argued with. I myself would argue with this. Wendy, I agree to a point with what you have posted, but I don't think that the opposers here are trying to dictate anything to Hezzy or the NLUO other than to not publicly mislead others into thinking they are part of NLUO. I find no fault with that. I also find no fault in them posting their disgruntlements. I do however, don't like when ugliness comes to the fray or if it just becomes a big campaign to down a player publicly which would discourage them from playing. I really think there is a simple solution to this issue. Hezzy continue with his vision and let those who don't want to participate do their own thing. What the NLUO decides for LU should only affect them and should not be imposed on those who do not wish to have involvement. Now, if the intent of NLUO is to govern the entire world, then they may have to fight to obtain that result, but I see no benefit in this. The terminology is what is bothering people, especially in a game where one rules and governs their own game.

It has just come to my attention that Steve Ryan on LU and a member of the NLUO has issued a war declaration against some of those who have opposed the NLUO. So from what Hezzy told me today, before war decs can be issued, it has to be agreed upon by the NLUO. Therefore, this war declaration must be endorsed by the NLUO. If this is the case, the message that it sends to me is a very poor one and really doesn't put the NLUO in a favorable light. It comes across as a bully/aggressive tactic, one that I do NOT agree with and will heavily campaign against. Sorry Hezzy, I love you to pieces, but I dun condone this action. You agreed today in chat to take things under advisement. That you listened. I do not see this here. Tsk tsk

| Wednesday, December 12, 2012 - 03:26 am Kiss I am sorry but Once I declared war, and alerted the federations, I knew it would be hard to stop them. I was not playing. I was going to war. It is only because of Chief Jackseptic did I even agree to any kind of peace. Chief Jack then resigned his position as Secretary of State to only oversee the regions of his empire and represent those regions. He does not want to go against Orbiter. With that said. I tried to stop the feds, but once a declaration goes through, we have a lot of war happy nations in our government federations. The war Ensemble Fed, parts of the LU Defense Organization, No Quarter Fed, and the NLUO fed all were called up for war. I did what I could. I stayed in war level 1 instead of leveling up. I did my part to stop the bloodshed. Maybe Orbiter should have not threatened war in chat last night, and buying nukes.
