The New Little Upsilon Order: Fact vs. Fiction

Hello I am SweetPea. Many of you remember me as Psycho_Honey. Other know me by my real name which is Wendy.

Since Jack Septic had to leave the NLUO due to his own convictions, I am now taking his place as Secretary of State. I will be doing things a bit differently than Jack did previously.

I am your new Liaison to the New Little Upsilon Order. As I understand it, many of you are curious, others are skeptical and maybe even a bit suspicious. I am here to address your concerns, whatever they may be.

I ask that you keep your questions short and to the point and easy enough to answer in a simple way. So as not to create a thread of essay posts.

It is my understanding that there have been quite a few misconceptions posted about this organization. I am here to assure all non members of LU and other communities thinking of joining the world of Little Upsilon that the NLUO is not some secretive sinister organization.

Do the NLUO intend to interfere in any manner with players who opt out of their govt system?

Although I would like you to be more specific on any manner, I will try to answer your question.

"Not that I am aware of."

Of course there will be circumstances that would have to be taken into account on a case by case basis.

The NLUO is not an aggressive organization. Players can opt in or out without fear of reprisal.

Any manner, any manner whatsoever. No ifs buts or exceptions.

As secretary of state, "not that I am aware of" is not an answer at all.

A yes or no answer will suffice thankyou madam secretary.

Why is Stephen Ryan, a well-known, aggressive, and prolific asset raider, your Secretary of Defense if the intention is not to use the organization as an excuse to asset raid players?

Why are you, someone with a history of making excuses to asset raid players, the Secretary of State if the intention is not to use the organization as an excuse to asset raid players?

What wars is this organization designed to prevent given that two of its leading members are themselves responsible for a majority of the wars against other players on LU in recent history?

Why do the Secretaries think that because they are Secretaries, they can declare on whoever, whenever they want? I didn't sign up to be a pawn. I signed up to improve my country.

After this appointment im regarding this as a declaration of war on me by the NLUO.

Brother Gaz. Not to Worry. Secretary Wendy has made it clear that we are not an aggressive organization, but if you talk the talk, you need to walk the walk. I am sure Secretary Wendy will not Arbitrarily attack you. But If you consider this to be a declaration of war on you, then that is your right, but we have not officially declared anything.

Im sure she has Hezzy. Take my advice, trust nothing she says. She's a lair. A good 1 though so be on your toes.

Because the NLUO is an inclusive organization. The NLUO does not Judge or dictate how players play or should play at this time. Steven Ryan is a member of the NLUO. His actions were of his own accord, and within reason given the threats and posts being made by Crafty and Josias. Those players were using war rhetoric. It seems that Steven Ryan answered the call of one half of the two mentioned. Next question.

No one really cares what you consider. The NLUO has not declared on you. You can take anything how you want to. Bottom line is, no one cares.

Brother Gaz, If you would just alley with us, and stop fighting us, it will be better for all parties. I will not attack you if you attack with a war dec. I will not pass an executive order. Although rumors of war is not a good thing to bring to the table because there are members who will dec just on the rumor of threat. I think you could be a valuable asset to this government because you said your self you brought a lot of players into the game. we could use that mind of yours in our growth. I think Wendyloo, that the NLUO is doing just that in this instance - dictating to others. Please explain this statement to me and please point out how this is not dictating.... "The NLUO governs all of LU." This is what Hezzy is telling players like Josias, Mizore, and Crafty. This is what is upsetting them.

You asked too many questions at once. Can you point out which of the 3 are most important to you, or start back with the most important, and after I respond, reply with the next important one and so on. It would make the q&a much easier to follow.

Question 1:

Please explain this statement to me and please point out how this is not dictating.... "The NLUO governs all of LU." This is what Hezzy is telling players like Josias, Mizore, and Crafty. This is what is upsetting them.

Is the NLUO not a cohesive effort? If so, then how can Steven Ryan decide on his own to issue war decs?

Kiss of death im not some returning player you's all know hiding under a different name. I dont know any of you's from before. The only name I reconise from the last time I played is Laguna. Other than that you's are all new to me. You decide what you like I couldnt really care to much. Obviously it be nice to have your respect but I wont loose any sleep over it.

Questions 3a, b and c

Given attempts at diplomacy the other night in chat with Josias and Mizore and Hezzy's alluding to that some agreement would be forthcoming...

a. Were discussions presented to all of NLUO?

b. Was there a vote that was agreed on by the majority of the NLUO for this war declaration?

I am rather concerned that Hezzy alludes to an agreement of sorts and then just hours later a war dec was issued. Seems inconsistent with the impression I was left with the other evening.


c. Who all voted Yes to war and which of the nations voted No?
